Why would anyone get bored of a manager being honest and straight up with the fans and media?

Because, no matter how well you do, it becomes stale and it turns off many/most. Even Moyes got it and he was a qualified 'success'.

Exactly! We've had years of moyes looking like gollum and spouting crap that were skint. Then we have a manager who can't Shut up with his boring kak and can't deliver results. Now we have a straight forward no bull won't take bull manager! It's refreshing!

I think Koeman is the type who'll know when the jigs up, tbh.

Today the overwhelming consensus in this parish is that practically the exact same squad is rubbish and needs completely overhauled lol

I'm not sure many are wanting a complete overhaul, just most of Martinez transfer mistakes correcting. We need a striker because of Kone/Niasse. We need a Keeper because of Robles/over lengthened career given to Howard. We need a CB because we lost Stones (due to our woeful league record under Martinez and the abject Mori. We needed a wide left player because Martinez played Cleverley there. We needed a midfield destroyer because Besic is basic. But the core of the squad is good, better than 11th anyway, or should been.

Ian, it is a contradiction in terms to suggest we lost Stones due to "our woeful league record" when he himself was the cornerstone of our defence for most of last season and for almost the entirety of the previous one.

Plus he had slapped in a transfer request at the end of the previous season, suggesting to me at any rate he was gone this summer even if we had done a Leicester.
