It says it all when they bring on 30 mill pound worth of talent in Babbel and Mascheranio and two young lads from the Everton Acadamy steal the show!

Thats the difference between them and us, honesty, integrity and dignity.

Pride like ours cant be bought!

The other difference between us is that we're still in the FA cup - my beer seems so much sweeter now(y)

Aside from the goal ... when he got the ball into space late and didn't go in for a second goal, I loved it. He, instead, took the ball to the corner, held it for about 20-30 seconds and booted it off a Red. In all, it killed about a minute. Brilliant.

Oops ... posted this in the wrong thread.

and to think, we knocked them out without a single natural striker!!!!

jo has got his work cut out for him, lets hope he fancies the challenge

A great potential for our new holding midfielder, composed, passing was great, he was very calm, sensible head on his shoulders, tracked back well, he was a fifth defender, not afraid to have a shot,....

this list could go on more and more

Rodwell was I.M.M.E.N.S.E!

Ok he was only against ten men but he looked quality when he came on. Super game by the young lad. (y)

That 10 man team was Liverpool in a derby.

I don't thin that Lucas being sent off should take away from Rodwell's performance.

But I agree - Super Super game for him!!!!

Young Jackie

The kid looks as if he's played there for years . Never got flustered and never got bullied . Hopefully weve got a decade at least of this young man . Cant fukn wait !!! Quality son . Quality .
Jesus walks with me !!!!

I like to compare with youngsters I have seen in the past. Le Tissier at 18 didnt stand out and certainly didnt have the authority of Rodwell. Gasgoine looked tricky but didnt have the right attitude at 18...if ever. Those 2 were top class players in their day. We have a gem there. Much credit to Moyes for playing him at the right times and then dropping him to give him experience. Oozes class andwill be around for years to come. This may show why Moyes hasnt bought a defensive midfielder as yet.

He's going to be a top player, I said that in Pre-season.

He's so cultured on the ball, two footed aswell. Our best prospect in my opinion, he just has something about him.

I agree, he was always looking for the ball and the way he plays is so graceful. He just glides across the pitch, wonderul close control and he isnt afraid to have a pop. I know he is MEANT to be a CB, but his career is clearly going to be played CM. Him and Gosling are the future, both are going to be excellent players.
