Simple thread for the inevitable relentless rumours when the season draws to a close.

What would you deem an acceptable fee to accept for Rodwell?

Your the manager. What fee would it have to be to accept? - what figure would make you think "Hang on, we'd improve the squad beyond Rodwell with that..."

Selling players is part and parcel of the game. It's not necessary a weakness. The biggest clubs in the world lose/sell key players.

The aim of the game is to improve. Could we put an asset in Rodwell to better use?

If we could replace Rodwell with a few players to freshen the side up, should we?

We need strikers and wingers.

Is Rodwell even good enough to command a starting place? Fellaini and Arteta start ahead of him in centre midfield for me.

So rather than fiercely reject "any" bid, could we not change our approach to "We value Jack. We think he could be a cracking player. Bids start at this price...". Encourage Man City/Man Utd/Real Madrids and co to go against each other?

So c'mon Blues - lets ditch the typical Evertonian mentality of "Not for sale at ANY price..." and apply some common sense. What's this asset worth to Everton Football Club?

You are buying massive potential so i am looking at 25-30m. Yes agreed he is not worth that YET and indeed he may not go on to fulfil his potential however the likelihood is he will so you will be buying a massive investment hence why minimum fee should be 25m plus

Why is there no option for less than £15 million?

Its too hard to say what he's worth though, so many variables come into play.

Are we talking purely on ability? Or do we add potential. Then do we add on extra for being English.

And most importantly what he is actually worth invidually is probably way less than his worth to us.

Overall all things considered i'd say he's worth between £15 to £20 million max.

He's young, talented and versatile and home grown.

But completly unproven as more than an ok midfielder of which there are plenty around.

But with huge potential. World class potential no but can be a dominate premierleague midfielder for 10 years or more.

Hopefully our best bet is that there are a few well off clubs interested in him who may well up the bidding against each other.

I went £25m+ but it's a hard one.

He hasn't had a great season so shouldn't be worth anywhere near that, but then Carroll cost £35m, so god knows.

He's 20 and no one knows what kind of position he's going to play in; CB, CM, AM?

That's a compliment to his talents, but it's also a bit of a criticism, that he's not really proven to be great at anything. You could say... he's a Jack of all trades.

If you answer this then Danny will enter your choice on his huge graph that he keeps on all of us, to psychologically profile us all.

Every answer you have ever give on here is kept and over a long passage of time he enters your head and makes you purchase the Gold Membership thing so he can smoke cigars.

If you're ever wrong then he will PM you and remind you of writing off Yakubu and use it to blackmail you.

Heed this warning cats.

Just make sure that we have the right man brokering the deal, if it's not enough then threaten to take it to an auction.

Who is the man for such a job ?

Think £25 mill with add ons etc would be a reasonable deal, just hope we hang on to baines+felli.Who we could not compete without

top offer from utd will be 18mill take it or leave it, and Bill will bite the Mancs hands off. Moyes will spit the dummy out and walk.:dodgy:
