For now, I think we need to concentrate on getting the outfield players in. Then, if there's an option to improve on Stek, we can do so.

Well I would go for soneone who has aspirations to be a first team player one day, like Joel had? However it wont be easy to find one, but a lot of clubs do have 2 capable keepers, Spurs for example (and Liverpool perhaps haha), having Stek on the bench is a waste of a substitute spot, last season we should of handed Joel all the Europa League games and league cup to keep him happy. As you say mate outfield first, but this spot is a lesser problem then Koeman made worse even if Pickford did come in during his last window

I have a soft spot for Joel and I much prefer him to Stek. Obvs getting nowhere near our starting lineup with Pickford though, can't blame him for wanting to play footy

Pickford is great, but has made errors of equal proportions in the last year.

People say Stek is crap but at Robles age now he had multiple titles with Ajax and was about to star for Holland in the 2010 World cup and play in the final.

Not the best but he certainly wasn't the worse either. Like yourself, I had a soft spot for him and think he was a sensible backup for Pickford.

He was a good backup keeper. He always tried hard when called upon and seemed to accept it when he was replaced. We may find it hard to get a second string keeper as good.
