My point is that he knows certain markets (Spain, Scotland and England) and has been scouting them for years. So, it would be a little unexpected if we signed someone from Eastern Europe or South America.

To be fair, you can look at Moyes' signings and say wow, Cahill, Arteta, Martyn were all amazing buys, and then you can pick faults.
Then you can look at Martinez' at Wigan, and say well McCarthy, Al Habsi, Kone, Moses and Di Santo were all big signings for someone of Wigan's calibre. Whereas others like Boselli were disasterous.
So far We've had McCarthy, Deulofeu, Barry, and Lukaku who've been amazing. We've got a future signing in Joel and if you want to write of Kone as a disaster, then so be it. But with the bigger club like Everton, the calibre of player goes up, and i thoroughly expect any signing Bobby makes to be a good, well thought out one, and i'd be very surprised if he doesn't have someone ready to sign from Spain come January.

Wasn't he **** last year as well mate, i just remember the games vs united and some in the league i saw the other season when he looked the next massive spanish youngster, but he went badly off the boil for some reason i think

Highly doubt it, if i'm not wrong he did turn down Málaga and Valencia in Primera this summer gone on loans, I think he was offered to Sociedad too, but they turned it down for more money for that lad they sold.

*Seriously though, He buys who Kevin Reeves spots. He spotted Angel Rangel at Swansea when he was watching someone else. Hasn't turned out too bad. As others have said though, he'll heighten the criteria for who he wants now he's here and has less financial restraints i.e being able to offer more than 25k a week.
