Besides the point total last season (which is relative to the rest of the league), there's little empirical evidence to support your faith in Martinez at this point imo.

There is when one of those years resulted in a record points total and some of the best football played by Everton for a generation.

You're being selective about what you base your judgement on and you know it. Two seasons worth of evidence and you prefer to isolate season two and judge him on that. If you're saying two seasons is enough to judge then use the whole of that period and not 50% of it.
