You may find some gentlemen from County Road have already trademarked that name.

As have these lads.

One of their finest songs

I thought that was a terrible performance by Martinez today. We played Bournemouth reserves today. We created nothing. At half time we were second best and needed him to manage the situation, he abdicated responsibility and left things as they were. We got a deflected goal and a second from a desperate corner. They missed a penalty and Gosling missed a sitter.
Today, at half time, was an opportunity to show leadership and nothing happened.
I extremely happy with the win and to be in the quarterfinals but if anyone is happy with what we just saw I despair.

Ha ha ha ha

Night and day between the first and second half. First was abject in the extreme, Joel and Joel alone keeping us in the tie, however second half we were comfortably the better side and barring that free header from eight out looked almost comfortable(!) defensively. That has to be credit to the manager, I would imagine he lit a fire under some behinds in the dressing room with the energy shown in the second half in comparison to the first. We had a goal incorrectly ruled out for offside and scored two darn decent goals besides. Barry was simply sensational again.

Funny also how when we concede deflected goals it's "indicative of our defensive frailties" but when we score off deflections they don't mean anything and are pure luck. Can't have it both ways. And even if it was "just" luck, well it's about time some got sent our way.

Robertonians do NOT endorse this post.

I thought our game management today was very good. :coffee:

Ha ha ha ha

Your ability to put forward a coherent and constructive argument has me in awe.

I see from one off your previous quotes you have some expectation of winning this cup. I would love you to explain what you saw in today's performance that is going to carry us through to Wembley.

I am not going to put any more posts on this forum tonight, normally, in a cup match, I am only concerned with the result. What I saw today really deflated me. A deflection and a mistake to beat a Bournemouth team with 7 changes. If that is what people wish for Everton then I obviously expect too much.
I'm having a drink and going to concentrate very hard on tomorrow's draw and the fact that we are in it.

We won and we deserved to win. You have a serious problem. Doctors for you Monday morning or go to casualty to see if that chip can be removed.

Once we went two nil up they didn't have a sniff. Tough lessons have been learned this campaign, lessons that are starting to bear fruit
Strolled it against a PL team with 15 minutes left. We did that also against City in the LC and with 10 men.

All the talk about 'game management' is mostly baloney.
