Roberto Martinez discussion

You're crazy if you think these players are going to stay playing for a midtable Everton. I agree he has built up a good team/squad, a squad that should be doing much better.

You're not going to convince me otherwise and I'm not the same to you.

Time will tell, I also agree he is not going anywhere either, you you're going to see plenty of him and I feel as though we are stuck with him and missing a massive opportunity.

I'm not stubborn though so where as you again will take more and more 11th placed finishes and not change your POV I will change mine if we push up the league AND/or win a pot.

I don't expect any targets from you as you'd never want to look wrong, just like when you said you hoped the board would not spend £15m+ this summer as it'd make you look stupid.

I think you're being harsh on Martinez really.

Davek is just pointing out that he has led us successfuly to win the "most plastic plaudits from anonymous hacks on the internet" award when Moyes had us nowhere near.

Bruce Forsyth and the ghost of Eric Morcambe are to give Martinez the award before Kenrights next stage show.

The trophy is a giant "E", which strangely enough is what people who prefer winning the passing to winning the points have consumed.

The photo below was Martinez acknowledging the crowd after his Wigan side had been relegated

I couldn't find a similar one for Moyes unfortunately.
That's because he was fired before he took the English Champions into the Championship.

Lol.

How can anyone destroy the PL champions after they won it by 11 points the previous season? The fellers a genius...it shouldn't be possible but Moyes found a away how to do it.

It's not just about finances though, you have to look at the talent avaliable. we have a better squad than our financial situation/backing would have many believing and that is to Martinez Credit. The front 3 of Deulofeu, Lukaku and Barkley is Very exciting and if you were Naive you would say that we could have a great future with them, problem is they are not going to be sitting around fighting out the 8th-12th placed trophy with us unfortunately, we have In my opinion a better first xi than Spurs, unfortunately they have a much better manager and he is showing what a decent manager can do with a decent squad of players, finished 5th laast year despite a really slow start with the constant (it seemed at the time) slip up after midweek EL games he seems to have put that right this year and gone on. We however keep making excuses for the manager when things go wrong, in the main blaming anyone but him, another issue from yesterday that may or may not have been talked about is, Why exacctly were the players blowing out of their arses post 65 minutes? last year the pro Martinez club would have blamed Europe, whats this years excuse?

2-0 away to Bournemouth (A team who have lost a core of players to long term injuries) a good to decent manager sees that game out no problem what so ever. A blind man could see that Kone was dead on his legs and therefore kept giving the ball away Martinez leaves him on.. For what reason?
I'm not going to get locked in conversation with you because I haven't got the patience to argue with an idiot.

Lads, it's time you were back home again isn't it?

Putting Deulofeu on the pitch is in no way evidence of a manager who has galvanised the team as a whole. I'd go as far as that without Deulofeu then Lukaku himself would be redundant. Not a criticism of Rom btw as every striker needs service.

I just feel that beyond a few decent results aka hammering of dross at home we've not moved on at all.

I'm watching spurs and although they've not beaten Chelsea they all fight for each other as a team. Yesterday's disgraceful second half effort was disgusting culminating in the disastrous 'cameo' of the bang average and half fit of Tom Cleverley - perhaps the most inept and shameful display seen in an Everton shirt since the days of Thomsen and Nyarko.

Spurs played Thursday half away across the world yet their pressing and stamina is miles ahead of ours.

Highlights just how good a job Pochettino is doing and the importance of having athletes in your side.

And what score did we beat Chelsea, shows different ways to win games
