If we look at the facts:

We are dropping league places.

While we are in a semi final, nothing is guaranteed, and we may win the cup, or we may lose the semi.

It's not certain that we will be able to hold on to our best players come summer.

Ok we may not be in a relegation fight, BUT for me the above isn't good enough. Whether that warrants an immediate sacking is down to personal opinion, but for me, I'm not impressed currently.

Time to knock up Jose?

United nailed on, but we won't have a problem attracting managers.

Point is, he's now totally finished after hanging Baines out to dry for what was common sense and obvious honesty. He needs binning immediately - if he lasts the week the board are a disgrace.

Oh, and if I were Baines, I'd come out with an immediate and public transfer request for that. It wouldn't even be unprofessional - it'd be the correct thing to do, even if he had no intention of actually leaving, just to force the point that the manager is an absolute tool.

would you have caretaker till end of the season? if so who?

So how have we improved?!! If you don't conceed at a rate of knots and you score more, then yeah obviously you'll be on the up?!
What makes you think he can turn it around? What's it based on?
I'll base it on his previous prem management.
Because the performances have improved. We've been outplayed about 3 times all season, City, Arsenal and United. All the rest we've been in the game and we all know we should have more points than what we have - finishing chances, leads slipping, bad ref decisions. But it's the fact that we've been going into games this season (baring the last 2) with a belief that we can score whenever we want and take all 3 points. I'm basing it on the signs that are there, there has been an improvement from last season (remember Hull away?) and when we've clicked this season we've looked great there is no denying that. So I'm willing to give him a little bit longer to get it to click a lot more.

Actually, will type in a bit more detail.

The man has lost the plot, clearly lost the dressing room and definitely, beyond doubt, after the reaction to that this morning, lost the fans.

He should be sacked immediately. There's no good to come from him staying around any longer - he's now completely finished.

Get a new man or a temp in for the cup semi and have someone the players and fans can rally around for the run in. Anything other than this clown staying as Everton manager.

I reckon royle and big dunc, abit of a gamble but we can't do any worse than we're doing.

Uh oh

Wrong. Last season was terrible in the league and this season in the league has been better in the most parts. Defence has went worse but going forward is much better. .
It's an opinion and in this instance I disagree. Away from home we've seen some great attacking performances. But in the mainstay at home?

We've had a few great home attacking performances at home, but equally there's been fair amounts of woeful dross we've had to endure.

Manure, Arsenal, Liverpool, Swansea, West Brom, Spuds, Norwich in the LC. Teams we've performed well against have often been themselves poor.

And to add to all that, be in home or away we've defensively been woeful to the point of being shocking as you have mentioned.

When you combine the two, I do not see an improvement. I see elements of it of course, but overall I see a decline in overall performances.

The results aren't there, the players seem to be showing displeasure, support is declining and Martinez's foundations are crumbling.

Anyone. Doesn't really matter - performances are so bad that they can hardly get worse, and the odds of a cup win won't change regardless. If anything, they'd improve as the players will be free to play without this idiot in charge.

Personally, Dunc would do. Not saying he'd be a good manager, far from it, but it'd do till the season ends and we can bring in a proper manager.

Would never want to hand the job to him whilst he's so untested but I'd fancy him for a few months as we head into a semi final and hopefully a final. Roberto cannot motivate players. I reckon Dunc could fire them up for a trophy.

But regardless of what happens before the summer, once the season's over I hope we aim for a high calibre manager. We have the squad and the finances to attract big managers.

Duncan Ferguson's coaching career has been spent with Martinez. What's the point in replacing Martinez with someone who has no experience in managing, the only experience he has is from the person you despise?
