@davek n lads

I suggest you google Sudetenland and read what Nazis once did. Youll understand what ruskies are doing now.
My neutrality to this means that I side with Russia.

Not particularly valid mate as Czecoslavakia had only existed as a country for around 20 years by the time of the german annexation of the sudetenland and was a country which sprang out of the runis of the austro hungarian empire, and thus had a powderkeg of differing ethnic groups within it, the Ukraine is totally different to that situation

Cisleithanian Austria had to face significant territorial losses:

Dissolution of Austria-Hungary
Burgenland, i.e. the predominantly German-speaking western parts of the Hungarian counties of Moson, Sopron and Vas, were awarded to Austria. The affiliation of the Southern Carinthian territory with its Slovene-speaking share of population was to be decided in a Carinthian Plebiscite.

from wiki as you suggested people to google it mate, not that i needed to as i know my history very well and am not biased from a finnish anti russian stand point which no offence but you obviously are mate - possibly understandably given the history of finland etc

The Russians are defending a democratically elected government which fell foul of the West for wanting closer ties to Russia, in line with the wishes of the majority of its people.

If you believe that, you'll believe anything.

The suggestion that Putin is acting in defence of democracy is probably the most deluded thing I've ever heard.

Ruskies are using the "we will defend our citizens-card" just like nazis did.

Maybe they saw how effective the west was in the former Yugoslavia at maintaining a safe environment to the civilian population mate and think they can do a better job, noticeable how you haven't addressed the strong facist elements involvement during the uprising and why that should be of great concern

If you actually read up the situation mate he is correct, the government that was overthrown by the uprising was democratically elected, the woman who was imprisoned and released that got featured quite heavily on the news actually obtained less than 20% of the last vote and is a billionaires who made her money through very dodgy gas deals such as ones that the Russian oligarchs did

I never said that the government wasn't democratically elected, I said that if you think Putin's motive is to protect democracy, you're deluded.

Pretty poor retort, seeing as you don't need a 'source' to see what is happening in Ukraine.

So exactly where is your information coming from then mate? unless its first hand with your own eyes then news flash for you mate thats called a source
