He then deleted the account a few years later.

Someone started one up today, using the now vacated name.

Bit choked up watching some old clips in my lunch break and reading Ade's comments.

Most celebrities die and you spare a moment to think "yeah they had a good life, enjoyed a couple of their shows etc".

But Rik was part of my childhood, along with the rest of The Young Ones and Bottom. Taken away, but never forgotten. RIP.

There's a group on facebook which is hoping to honour Rik in an unusual way - to make "Last Night" by the Mar Keys number one on the UK charts.

A cover by the bum notes was the theme tune to Bottom.
