Right now this club is a shambles

Well said. I’ve also noticed that the same fans who hounded out Barkley and insisted we would spread the goals about while happily waving off Lukaku are exactly the same fans who are most critical of you @davek.

I am a fan of your humble tolerance of these so called Evertonians. Their toxicity is a factor in these points above.
It was a test of loyalty that a lot of supporters felt they needed to pass when Koeman, straight off the bat, launched into Barkley and isolated him. Koeman "had to be" right...even though they knew nothing about Koeman at the time but knew everything about Ross and what a class player he is.

They can now repent at their own leisure.

If that lad was playing this season we'd be top 7/8 minumum. The truth of the matter is that he and Davies made Koeman's first season here look halfway decent. Koeman responded to that by pushing Barkley to the fringes of the club and undermining Davies because he wanted to slot in Klaassen.

You know you have a massive ego out of control when that happens.

The big issue for me is even if we sack RK the next guy in has to deal with the same squad inbalance and lack of an out and out goal scorer. We can't magic up a CF, LB or CF and manage to lose at least one No 10.

We are stuck with what we have however RK's attitude and over all demeanour is poor, he looked like a hobo last night and he certainly doesn't inspire much when you look at him.

I think if we don't win a few in October he will be gone..

A different pair of eyes and mindset could really make a difference.

As an aside, Mourinho recently in his programme notes referred to us as a club who should be challenging for the top 4. Mind games possibly. Still complimentary and respectful though.

Shame that it appears that our manager or no one on the board think so. Maybe we wouldn't be in this shambles if the club started to act like one.

Is it time to name names?

Maybe. Maybe not yet.

It shows Jose both knows more and thinks more of this club than both Koeman and Moshiri IMO

How should we have waved Lukaku off oh wise one? He wanted he leave, he left, I don't feel there were any particular winners there apart form him.

What an uber stupid thing to say lol

thing is we tried our hardest for a striker we really did....

if only costa or cavani had come to us on the last day..

hahahahahhahahahhahahahahhahahaahahahahahahahahahahhahaha

as if... who on our board was truly thinking we could get one of Europe elite strikers to come to Everton. if they do truly believe this then they are far far far far out of their depth than I could even imagine.

It's pretty much 2005/06 come again.

I had hoped that this type of thing was behind us. Unfortunately, it seems I was fooled by the false spring that was the ending of the long winter of Phil Neville.

QFT.
Are things actually any worse than the 05-06 season? At this exact point we'd been dumped out of CL, EL, and were bottom of the table with 1 win and 7 losses. We had scored exactly one goal in the league. Not sure this is quite the worst of times.. yet.

Being more rubbish in the past is no excuse for the current shambles, obvs.

There is a similar vibe, although the situation isn't quite as bad points-wise. The poorly chosen transfers and mad team selections are eerily reminiscent of that season, however.

I remain steadfast in my belief that nothing changes at Everton until Kenwright is gone.
