Has a lot to do with them frequently replacing Walcott who it's not hard to improve on yet his spot in the team is for some reason cemented

Could be, he offered more threat than Walcott and looked more comfortable there than on the left. The most encouraging thing was the transformation of Coleman after he came on, I thought they linked really well.

The impact he had on Coleman was incredible. Coleman was rolling back the years after he came on.
Quite happy to blame Walcott for Coleman’s form now

I thought Bernard did really well yesterday.

Provided defensive cover.
Showed amazing vision with some of his passing (not all of which came off)
Did brilliantly until Dick Van Dyke stuck a foot out before he could get his shot away.
Just missed getting to Richarlisons cross
Provided good width/overlap and came inside to effect as well.

I think he’s a really good player and it was easily his best 90mins for us.


As for Richarlison, brilliant when he came on, looked motivated and back to the lad who started the season. Hopefully he starts on the right v the barcodes
