Reports: Schneiderlin and Mirallas

Schneiderlin has developed into an extremely poor player in less than a year while Mirallas has been one for 3 years. It says it all that when we need players to step up to the mark these two no-marks can't be bothered to show up on the pitch or in training. All an apology may do is get them 'selected', that way they will stand in the way of Baningime and/or Lookman and Valasic. No thanks. Get rid for the sake of Everton - definitely as they offer nothing.

He's gone through an awful patch of form mate.

But so has Gana. So has Davies. So did Ross last year.

It doesn't make them bad players

Pair of bells. Good on Ferguson and Unsworth booting them out. I wouldn't let them train with the squad until they apologise publicly.

The new man will have them both in and square it up.

If they act like tits with him, they'll be out of the door, but I doubt that'll happen in the short term.
I agree on Schneiderlin but it's time to ditch Mirallas, he's had enough chances with enough managers and, for two decent performances a season, he just isn't worth the bother any more.

No example of Schneiderlin ever having this issue before.

He was Saints' captain for a good while during his best form for them. He was excellent last season for us when he came in.

He can be a vital cog in this side. We're a better team with him - playing well - in it than without.
He's showing it now.........at a time when the team can least afford it ! He should be breaking his back to prove Mourinho wrong but instead ..He's proving him right ! Maybe Southampton is his optimum level .

Far be it from me to stir the pot, and I know we would all do as we were told, but does it bring it to question my her, Duncan's ability to take a training session or the validity of what he is coaching, just putting it out there for discussion ?

It is their sort of attitude which is partly responsible for the disastrous season Everton have been having. It has to have an effect on the other players and the overall morale. Has been going on for a long time with Mirallas and Schneiderlin's performances have been that poor this season that he has probably allowed himself to be easily led and followed Kev down the same disrespectful path. When you consider the extortionate wages these guys are on too, their behaviour is absolutely disgraceful. The root cause is probably Mirallas so maybe ditching him will resolve it and improve morale.

Kev did bust his tail last match we played, so at least the effort was on the pitch. But he's just replaceable. Morgan makes us better when he's on, but he's not THAT much better than others. Both these guys better realize that they are still competing for spots. It also may explain Beni coming into the side. I'd be surprised if this was an isolated incident.

: This is what has happened.
:
: Everton have a thing in place where kids who
: get injured while at Everton and can't play
: are given a fast track to get into coaching.
: Unsworth as part of his ethos allows these
: kids to take 20 minutes or so of training a
: day. He does this to give them a chance and
: its a great boost for them.
:
: Anyway he does this on Saturday morning and
: rather than listen to the kids Kevin and
: Morgan arse about. This leads to them being
: split up in training into two teams. Instead
: of taking part kevin and morgan decide to do
: the soccer am 'crossbar challenge'. When
: pulled up on this by duncan he tells them
: you either respect the club or fcukoff. At
: this morgan tells him to stick it as does
: mirallas who 'won't be told what to do by
: anyone'- he was like this with moyes
: martinez and Koeman. He also dumps his bib.
: they are then told to turn up anyway
: tomorrow for the game- neither does. Neither
: will play again for Everton.
:
: This is all first hand. Make of it what you
: will but that is what happened.

Surely it is a question of attitude and discipline nothing to do with ability.

This is true.

So you fine them, drop them (as has been done), and make them apologise.

Then he/they have to show they want to play for Everton.

if they don't, then sell them. Not just 'sell sell sell' cos of one incident (at least, not in MS's case. Kev I do feel will go).
