Good to see Tommy Robinson on the scene with his usual brand of balanced opinion.

I enjoy listening to Tommy Robinson. Whether you agree with his opinion or not, he is confident, brave and knowledgeable, and usually backs up his opinions with some kind of evidence, facts etc.

I'd argue that his opinions are more balanced than the opinions of those who refuse to engage with him.

He encourages and welcomes others to debate and engage with him. Many choose not too. He is often drowned out and responded to with cries of 'racist, fascist' etc. I have respect for him for being willing to discuss and debate his opinions. I have less respect for those who stick their fingers in their ears, insult him, abuse him and refuse to answer. For many, it's easier to call him racist and end the conversation there, than be willing to debate with him.

That said, he was part of the EDL....that's his biggest problem and it has not done him any favours. The typical EDL member is a knuckle-dragger of the highest order. But, your average knuckle-dragger is not given the opportunity to debate their opinions on TV.

There are many interviews on TV / internet featuring Tommy Robinson. The BBC have welcomed him onto radio shows, The Big One on BBC Sunday Mornings. Even the Oxford Student Union gave him a one hour platform to speak and applauded him off at the end. Did they all agree with him? Probably not, but he was given a fair opportunity to make his point. What is fairer than that?

If he'd of had a gun there would have been a higher death toll than there currently is, instead of stabbing one policeman he could have unloaded on both and dozens of citizens.

Guns being hard to access is a good thing, it may not solve people using vehicles as weapons but it definitely helps keep body counts down.

But guns are not hard to access. As a point of interest, there are more guns in circulation in the UK now than before the last clamp down following the nutter Derek Bird ran amok in Cumbria. Know the right pub in Moss Side (for example) ....

With a bit of time & a lathe, I reckon I could make a serviceable weapon capable of firing nails, ball bearings etc.
Not that I am remotely interested in guns or killing

Knowledgeable?

Please expand.

The Oxford SU gave a one hour platform to Pamela Anderson, for example, so that's not an achievement.

They are much harder to get hold of in the UK than they are in mainland europe, for the reasons I stated... especially assault rifles etc

For you & me. For the Provo IRA (or whatever they call themselves nowadays), ISIS, and any other funded terrorist outfit - not so much.

Have the money, get the gun but why bother if you can cause an outrage with a motor car?

(1) I chose Mr. White because Heisenberg was already taken :-)

(2) I said EDL members were knuckle-draggers. Does that sound like a compliment or support to you?

(3) You have chosen to insinuate that I am a racist, rather then to debate.....exactly the point I was highlighting.

If you come on here and say someone like Tommy Robinson or whatever his real name is, is 'brave' and 'knowledgeable' then what do you expect.

He's the very opposite of brave, he's a coward. And worst of all, despite what you say, he's a racist, and despite you saying people should debate him, you're wrong. The worst thing we can do is validate these cretins and their opinions by wasting time debating them.

If I wanted to get hold of an illegal gun, I wouldn't know where to start!
