Will lift it in time. I still need to config it, but the cap is to try and curb any early 'enthusiasm' which will make the moderators threaten a coup unless I remove it.

This is the global options - all feedback on how it should look to work appreciated.

Not convinced me, I'll give it a day or two but I reckon disable them from showing on the posts

It's not great when you have to factor in layout and all that...

A simple rep points counter in bolded blue for + and red for -, where the rep comments currently are, is the best compromise IMHO...if possible. Everyone loves a good ol' points tally. Wasn't it kind of that way back in the day? Been too long...can't remember. Oh no, it was the green and red boxes.

Oh, and that system of rep point allocation (at least that's what I'm reading it as) is a bit of a nightmare but if it's what you have to work with then the lower available to dish out, the better...makes them valuable, especially with daily limits. Lot of options...probably best to cut some out completely and stick with ones you deem have been most important to the forum, long term. Executive decision, that one.

Now that I've looked at them, the only one genuinely worth its salt is reg date AFAIC. Everything else can be skewed by forum habits and personal bias (not that they should be cut out altogether).

Just my useless tuppence, though. Having said that, if it's gonna' stay then it needs to work...which would require that there's minimal opportunity to truly abuse whilst still serving a purpose.

@GrandOldTeam the poster who isn't man enough to leave their username when leaving neg rep are using a horrible n word in the RS thread to describe me. I'd like to report them for using that word, diolch

not complaining about neg rep, just not happy with the language being used, no need to make it personal, if you have a gripe with a post, neg rep, move on. Just find it ironic bitter reds obsessed with us (if it's actually a blue, it shows how poor of a poster they are complaining about rs posts in a rs thread) coming on here. Didn't want to post it in that thread as it'll clog it up.
