My mate got his name on his brand new white skid mark kit for his birthday. The next day he left. Brilliant

I remember following a League Cup game versus..it think..Lincoln on teletext.

I think he scored 5. The game went like this...

best game Ive never seen.

Loved Tony Cottee. 2.5mil no?
I went to that game mate away to La La Lincolnshire ( that was there main song ). I think we won 5-2 and Rideout bagged a brace and a Cottee hat trick. I bunked off school and all I had was a 30p co op bottle of lemonade and a 6 pack of co op own brand crisps. Starving!!!

My first game at Goodison was TC debut v Newcastle. Missed first queuing outside. Brilliant !
He often bigs up the blues on soccer Saturday .

Other highlights:
Equaliser in 4 4 derby !!

I loved Tony.

His reaction when he scored down the Park End against the RS one day cemented him in my mind as a legend.

Though I must say I called him for everything one Sunday down the Bridge circa 1992 when he missed a penno which led to us losing in the F.A. Cup.

Always thought he was a big waste of money. We paid about 3.2m for him which I think was a record fee at the time. Always bagged 3 in the league cup games and against the crap teams in the league then never scored for a month. The little man, little man partnerships he had with Johnson, Spencer would wreck my head.
