We have 6 home games left I believe. On the evidence of the home performances so far under Lampard we will win at least half of those. However, we need to find a couple of performances away from home. Preferably those games against Watford and Burnley
Dont take that game today as any guide.

Burnley are the type of team who on any given day could go to somewhere like Stamford Bridge and grind out a 1-0 win out of nowhere. We do not have an unexpected result in us. I don’t think we’ll finish above Burnley. We need to get past Brentford and/or Leeds and then maintain whatever gap that is.

Burnley are dreadful. They have had little revival but I can't see them getting to 30 pt

As shocking as today was, there needs to be a little clarity.

This was a game no one will have been banking on points from, so in essence, nothing lost. This would have been far worse in the Newcastle match.

Seems home games will be key. Win four and I expect we will survive. Quite possible if we play near or at the level of today. I think 34 points will do this year so four home wins should do it but anyway will probably pick up something on the road as well. Clearly will be some nervous times ahead and we may well drop into the bottom three but all that matters is where we are 22 May not the 5 March or whatever

That’s the mad things with football though - you need to take your points when the chances arise - especially when you are deep in it.

People saying that we have home games we should win…but anything can happen in those games we need to win - a goalkeeping howler/ a red card - injuries and suspensions. We have run out or are running out of opportunities.

We should have got a point from that today once we got to the 80 mins mark.
