There is no way we lose today without the red card. Naive decison from Branthwaite there. Bad bad luck. Everton always gonna make us sweat it to the end

Fair enough and perhaps if a defender can't be trusted to give himself 10 yards goal side of a striker then we should just revert to 541 and hope we score from a set piece...but we were actually better than that for the first time since I can remember! The damage had been done by then. The decision to drop back should have been made with 11 on the pitch and make Brentford work to get on terms.
You can protect that inexperienced player though by having more players around him....which is what we should have seen once we took the lead.Unfortunately, you can't forsee a defender making a horrific blunder. A more experienced head would've tried to get right side and accept that they might score. No way we lose today with 11v11.
Oh I see, we threw caution to the wind for 7 minutes or so did we? *Sigh*. As I've said before Dave, you don't half talk some cobblers.Jesus wept. How hard is this to understand...I'm talking abut when we went one up, not when we were down to 10 men.
*sigh*
No DaveI think he was undone by a big soft lad being clumsy. But Lampard should never have left him exposed in the first place.
One nil up...drop back and defend it.
How has he fallen out of love with caution on an occasion like today? It was maddening.

They wouldn't have done if we all weren't going gung ho for the second as Lampard apparently wanted them to.No Dave
Seamus & Holgate should never have left the lad exposed.
That's all it took to lose the game.Oh I see, we threw caution to the wind for 7 minutes or so did we? *Sigh*. As I've said before Dave, you don't half talk some cobblers.
Had we taken the lead against a rampant Brentford side then ok perhaps shut up shop and hit on the counter but the momentum of the game was all with us to score two or three before HT then manage the game second half.
Playing for a second against Brentford and West Ham and a 3rd against Burnley was monumentally stupid.Playing for a point against Watford seems monumentally stupid now
Fixed that for yaThey wouldn't have done if we all weren't going gung ho for the second as Lampard apparently wanted them to.
Brentford couldn't believe their luck 2 snr Everton players left a young CB on his todd like that.
Fixed that for ya
