Leicester are in Rome on thursday night...they will hopefully be mentally shattered.

If they lose then season over for them.

Win and it will be a tough game so hopefully knackered

I think we get a draw at worst.

Got to get something against Leicester, hope they go through the mill against Roma

Burnley aren’t out of it yet. If they don’t beat Villa at home the they’re looking at two away games they’re unlikely to win. That tees them up for a huge last game against Newcastle.

Need Stevie Me to do us a favour and win at Turf Moor and their heads might go.

We had to win today. It’s still very precarious but at least we have a chance. We have to at least get a point at Leicester. If we won that though then Leeds and Burnley would start sweating big time.

Didn’t realise how much we needed that win today after studying league table just! and remaining games for us Leeds and Burnley.. This is going to the wire….

It’s the shot in the arm we need. The three games after should be straight forward then. Should.

I dont expect that to be so.

I think we might reasonably expect to get 6 or 7 more points overall this season. However, it could be more or less.

That's the nature of this team. No consistency. If we got anything like consistency of performance we can beat both Leicester and Watford and get over the line.

But we are at least back in play now, and we have handed a headache to both Burnley and Leeds.

Amazing how one unexpected win completely changes the picture. Watford should be officially relegated by the time we play them, so it's hard to see Leeds getting more from their four than we get from our five. Any of the teams on 40 could get pulled down into the scrap, especially Villa since horking up six to Burnley puts them at serious risk of finishing on 40. Next weekend should be intense.

it has really put the pressure on the other two sides, burnley have had a great run but how long can they sustain that? They aren't down there for no reason, Leeds are favourite to go down for me with us being a very close second

Another 8 points and I think we will be safe. I can see Leeds and Burnley getting at least another 5 points from their games. But both are in very good form.

We need to win the games we have usually struggled in, against teams like Watford, Brentford and Palace where we are expected to win.

We usually do well against the top teams at home. We need to carry it on against those around us.

I don’t know, I know Burnley have turned into prime Barca recently but they only just got past a terrible Watford team. If Villa were coming to Goodison I wouldn’t be confident so it’s by no means a certainty that Burnley win. Even a draw isn’t great for them with Spurs and Villa away following it.

Game by game. Every is like cup final and we need to play like that. Someone wrote on this forum that Watford is only top tier club who managed to lose 11 home consecutive games. And Everton is coming. It's all written over it. It would be disaster after this win to lose against Watford.

Leeds drew 1-1 lost 4-0 not great form

Unbeaten in 5 games before yesterday is great form for a team at the bottom. They have only lost to the champions.

When they play Chelsea it will not be the Chelsea we played today either.

I think Burnley get 6/7 points and are safe
I think Leeds 5/6

Because of the Leeds GD I would think 8 points will see us alright. The Watford, Brentford and Palace games I am hoping for a good 3 game run. Couldn't handle needing something away at Arsenal on the last game of the season

I’d take Villa at home rather than Leicester away for sure, Burnley are on top 4 form last 5 games

If, as I believe, Leeds lose the next 2, I can see them really struggling against Brentford who are deadly away from home.

A realistic Leeds fan would be looking at their remaining games and thinking they'll be lucky to get 6 more points and it'll be more like 3/4.


Did we all see that Leeds manager last night - getting booked and doing his OTT manic finger pointing for the crowd at the end? That's a man right under the cosh. And he'll be even more under it after the next two games give them a likley zero return.
