We absolutely need points from Newcastle and Leeds. Even draws would do for now if we can get a win against Southampton. We are losing games we should be winning left and right, but that being said I don't think today was a nailed on win and we did play better than previous games. I've just lost all joy in watching us this season. It does feel like we could very easily go down even with a new manager. I've no faith in someone like Lampard or Rooney being a gaurentee to turning this around. There's a better chance with them in ASAP like but it's still not gaurenteed, we left it way too late to sack someone who should have never been appointed in the first place

I’m not at all surprised though. The signs were there in the second half of last season. There has been no proper plan for the development of the squad for years. We are where we deserve to be.
