Largely being hopeful mate more than anything. I did say its hypothetical post in nature as I agree they'll have suitors. Even if we managed to keep a few of them we'd be sound. I look at teams that have went down in the past and they manage to hang on to some decent players and make it back up so hopefully we can do the same. With all due respect (and I think you’re a brilliant poster) why would internationals like Mykolenko and Iwobi and good prospects like Gordon and Godfrey want to play in the lower leagues?
They’d be the first ones out of the door to balance the books. We’d be left with the dead wood that we couldn’t shift.
Wouldn’t be arsed if everyone of them left. Spineless, gutless toads - the lot of themMykolenko would be a bit of a shame but can't say i'd be arsed about the rest.
Not enough sadly
Think Iwobi, Mykelenko, Keane and Doucoure will be nowhere near this club if we go down.
They’ll probably want out and we can’t afford to be carrying their wages

I dunno about that; we don’t know the full financial impact yet. But carrying the best part of £400k a week on largely average players is a dangerous road when you need a very swift returnTheir wages are affordable.
Not with Keane and Godfrey as CBs.
I'd like to see us play with a goalkeeper and I'd swop Keane for Branthwaite but yeah apart from that that team would do OK in the Championship.
Behave.
When players like Solanke have 27 goals. Billy Sharpe 14. Weimann 20...we have enough

In terms of the players we’d have left after likely sales this isn’t a bad start (plus I think Branthwaite, Davies, Gray and Simms would all be in our squad unless there’s good money on offer for any of them). And that’s before transfers in: for sure we won’t spend anything like what we get from the sales to balance the books, but there would be a transfer budget from the sales with a striker and defensive midfielder the obvious priority. And then of course flesh the squad out with loans from the bigger clubs.
None of them are natural finishers. I don't think you can seriously think promotion is realistic with Rondon up top. In fact that's just a bit silly really.
