Ill never go out and think we can’t get a result against the RS. It’s not logical I know, but this is the Derby. Big game and all on the line for both teams.

Tear into them, we need every point.
I agree and obviously as a player or manager you fight until you die but I mean as a fan. You never know in football but in terms of our remaining fixtures I think we have genuine chances of picking up points in the others but unless Liverpool have a player sent off early doors I don't see how we get anything from it. I just hope if we go 0-2 down that Lampard doesn't try and get a draw as it could come down to goal difference.

These are the games left for Burnley, ours are so much more tricky

if we go 2 down we try and get a draw?

i’m i reading this right?

It'll be truly incomprehensible to be going to the hole punch ground in the bottom 3 in the position and form they're in. Burnley in my opinion will pull out 4 points or 6. So an "expected loss" Sunday we're firmly the wrong end of the line.

Just checked the remaining fixtures list for both us and Burnley

I will divide them to 2 parts, the next 4 games and the last 3 games

Our next 4 games: 1 home and 3 away (RS-A. Chelsea-H, Leicester-A and Watford-A)
Burnley's next 4 games: 3 home and 1 away (Southampton-H, Wolves-H, Watford-A and Aston Villa-H)

Our last 3 games: 2 home and 1 away: (Brentford-H, Palace-H and Arsenal-A)
Burnley's last 3 games: 1 home and 2 away (Spurs-A, Aston Villa-A and Newcastle-H)

On paper they have the easier "next 4 games" while we have the easier "last 3 games", they have to do all the work in the next 4 games (because games number 36 and 37 are 2 away games for them against Spurs and Villa while we play home to Brentford and Palace) while hoping we collapse in our next 4 games

Logically I know what you are saying, but we’re in a position were no opportunity for points go begging, it’s the Derby, it can be irrational, we’ve gotten results against most top teams, City are their peers and we almost held them bar being robbed, we have it in us.

I want us to go into this Derby eye to eye, fight for it all and if we die, I want to die with our boots on.

I think a point v RS would still see us out of the bottom 3 before Chelsea. Burnley 4-5 points max out of their next 3 . IF Southampton do them tomorrow....could see a massive nosedive. Their capitualtion v WHam / our late comeback today / lack of manager appointment - Dyche hangover will definitely have an effect.

City play a big part in the Derby imo.

They play Watford Saturday - if they smash Watford and go 4 clear it will heap the pressure onto them in an already pressured derby game infront of the home crowd.

If we can stay in the game even just the one goal down they'll be nervy as it gets deep into the 2nd half and we have players on the bench who can change the game like Dele, Gray, Rondon.

Im going to say 1-1 at Anfield with us denting their title challenge.
