Is that when sean dyche is in charge ?We will squeeze a win against Leicester, Burnley will lose against Southampton, capitulating under their press. Everybody will breathe out again. And all will be fine. Until next season's nightmare unfolds.
I'll be more grateful from now on when it's season over in early January. As long as it's not in The Championship, that isIts strange having something to fight for at this stage of the season, albeit, the wrong end of the table
I’m sure that’s just an honest mistake ??I think they'll thrash about a bit and get a result or two at home. Let's say they win 3 of their last 7 and let's throw in a draw (probably as much as you could push it if you were being hopelessly optimistic for them). That'd hand them a 35 point finish.
We'd need (depending on GD) 7 points from the last 7 games. If we got 3 of them tonight wouldn't you feel pretty confident of us getting at least 4 more points against Leicester, Brentford, Palace and Watford?
Tomorrow night is huge (they all are obviously). But if we beat Leicester it'll pile way too much pressure on Burnley to deal with, and it'll make us hot favourites to overtake Leeds, who have a run in I wouldn't ever want us to have.
Wish i was as confident as some in this thread that Burnleys 4 game win this season is more or less how the rest of the season will go.
Staring down the barrel of a gun can change a lot of things.
Few weeks ago i was certain we only had to reel in brentford.
They then went and won 4-1 at chelsea.
Few twists in this i think.
That one sentence leads to so many questions! If we lose a Leicester I'm going to pit my shants. It's a possibility but I feel strangely confident
For me, it's not confidence in our own team but an acknowledgement of the reality of how poor Burnley are.
As bad as we are, we have shown that Goodison is not an easy place to come to. Even in the home games we've lost its usually been by one goal. And we have won 5 in 7 under Lampard.
Burnley haven't shown anything all season, home or away to suggest they will suddenly win 50% of their remaining games which they will need to do to stand a chance of staying up.
This is true, but they were terrible all game and were very fortunate to get a pointAs i said. Staring down the barrel of a gun can sometimes change things. The burnley of all season may have to go out the window. They were a penalty miss from going 2 nil up on sunday at west ham.
Id love it to all go according to plan. Got a feeling a few more sleepless nights are to come though.

oh i’m a bad mess and will be until (if)
i know we are safe
you're going to have a lot of free time once it's over, maybe take up painting?
Love the optimism but cannot see us getting anything from the pit.If we do beat Leicester and the fighting Everton turn up vs the rs, I think we could nick a point at the tin mine.
Wouldn't write off the Chelsea game either
How's that for optimism?
Misplaced or what??
I know...we must beat the Foxes first. One game at a time ???
