Form goes out the window now, its very hard to predict results, its the time of the season when you get weird results, you just have to be up for it and fight for every inch.

Finally it seems like for the first time in a long bar Davies and Townsend we will have a full deck to play with, Yerry and DVB hopefully back and available for Thurs.

Someone lock this thread....we survived

I mean I wouldn’t go this far yet. There’s a balance to be struck between “we’re fine safe as houses stop bed wetting” and “omg we’re down folks have you seen our fixtures compared to Burnley’s which are all easy, we’re done lads”. Let’s wait at least until Wednesday is out of the way before we jump to either conclusion.

I think we need to go all out to beat Leicester on Wednesday to give us that 6 point gap because our next two is Liverpool away and Chelsea at home. The chances we take anything from them is slim whilst Burnley play 4 games in that time, 3 at home and one away to Watford. Do we trust Southampton and Wolves to not bottle it at Burnley? Surely they are winning at Watford, 2 wins will put them above us even if we beat Leicester.

It`ll be tight but I can see us spending a week or so in that relegation zone unless Burnley completely implode, which is exactly what every Evertonian is hoping for.

A 6 point gift from Stevie Mee and his band of merry Kopites?

Literally 8 games to go and we’re only 3 points above the drop.
With a game in hand, two of the three places have already been decided, and the club in the third relegation place has just sacked its long term manager, managed to throw points away in their most recent game, and look to be in a death spiral. We'll be fine, not because we are any good at the moment but because Burnley are somehow far worse.

Some of our fans are far too cocky when we support such a trash team. Games in hand mean nothing if we don’t win them.

I am still optimistic we will overtake Leeds ;)

Yes they threw points away, no doubt they will take the positives from that game because they could have won it without the penalty. But they could also have lost it if it wasn`t for Pope. As someone who has been involved in football you`d take them positives 100% and learn from the negatives.

If we win on Wednesday I think it will stick a dagger in their belief, if we come away with nothing or a point I think they will take that.
