Have to think West Ham is in as bad a shape as we are..... Palace are playing better but still couldn't get a result today.
Pulling the trigger on Koeman sooner rather than later is still my choice.... give the caretaker a chance for a bounce prior to January and then get a striker / rid of some dross in the window. Season already feels like a write-off , but hoping we can at least get to mid table comfort by Jan.

If we lose big tomorrow we are in deep poo poo.

Conversely, if we scrap our way to a result, it could be the start of the turnaround.

Let's get behind the lads and get Goodison rocking.
I’ll be honest with you, Gareth.

I am more worried about relegation right now than I was the day I walked up Spellow Lane en route to the ground when we played Wimbledon in 1994.

For all the reasons you mention.

My sentiments exactly.

I also had a pre-match drink in the Spellow that day. I was actually with a mate of mine who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly within a couple of weeks of the match.

We watched the match from the Main Stand and for some reason I just had a gut feeling that we would stay up, almost to the point of being certain. My mate was the same. I don't know if it was because of the bond that existed between the players or the fans at that time. Maybe it was down to the fact that our players back then, although less able than our current crop, gave 100% every match to a man. I don't know what it was but I just knew they wouldn't let us down.

I remember Goodison, despite the Park End situation, being a particularly intimidating place for the opposition that day. Not to the point of idiots assaulting goalkeepers, but it was definitely hostile from Wimbledon's perspective and I think that helped us prevail.

These days Goodison really is like a library, apart from when we're attacking our own players.

I am just looking at the table right now.

If my math is right, a two goal defeat today will see us enter the bottom three.

And quarter of the season will be gone.

I still believe, come what may, that Koeman will be given till the end of the season and the benefit of another transfer window to put this right.

I don't think Koeman will be here if we are still in and around the bottom three come crimbo. We cannot afford to go down quite literally

Don't think he will get to Christmas if it does not improve.
Should get a minimum of a point today (but expecting to win)personally I will just accept the draw if we play well.
