Dave we have accumulated 11 more points than 18th position mate. We have absolutely every right to fancy our chances of finishing above them three dossers in the relegation zone, never mind the dross currently sitting above us.
Means nothing though. Points that have been ripped off us has the opposite effect of making our players confident about their current relegation scrap.

I do hope everyone now is focussed on this season being a relegation threatened one.

Some have been thinking safety is a done deal. Even now they seek solace in pointing at the betting market for relegation. Imagine being that naive to believe they have us at 10/1 for the drop means anything other than complete f.a.

Get a drubbing off Wolves and heads could drop, are we sure there's enough character in the squad to stay positive even when GD isn't?

My concern is that these players have dragged themselves out of the relegation zone once already and if we fall into it again soon - as I think we will - then do they have the character to bounce back again.

These players have only known relegation struggles. That has to bear down heavily on them at some point and they buckle...espcially when they must (rightly) think they should be top 10 and out of this mess now.

I'm beginning to think the arse will completely drop out of us soon, especially if/when we receive no points back from the appeal.
Dave we have one less win at this stage then we achieved last season, we're a clearly a better team then previously and even though the results haven't been ideal (in the last two games lol with upper table teams) the performances have been solid especially against spurs , there's no reason for fear mongering and panic at this time.

You can’t say points being ripped off us have had the opposite effect when we have won something like 5 in 7 since the deduction. It makes no sense.

We won’t have any last day shenanigans and we will be safe with games to spare

Good straw man.

Most reasonable people aren't denying relegation is a threat. There's a world of difference between that and what you're saying though.

The evidence strongly points to us ending fairly well clear of the bottom 3. It doesn't mean relegation isn't totally off the table, of course it isn't. But you're ignoring the overwhelming positive evidence and massively exaggerating the negative in some very weird attempts at "gotcha!" style posting.

But you already know that.

Wolves won 3,lost 3 (west ham/arsenal/fulham) drew 1, from last 7

We have 4 wins and 3 defeats v city, spurs man utd - think we may sneak it 2-1 myself
I'm focusing on the emotional harm, to the players and the support, having been on a good run and still in the crapper might be to much. Could well be the end of days right now, we saw the harm the league cup has done, and now to face the FA cup, could all get to much...
