The thing is we're not daft. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth last season and the side is currently worse off due to selling Richarlison.

Relegation is expensive we need quality in and fast. I imagine we also need a few out the door and sharpish too to try and raise some funds

My prediction is 19th or possibly even 20th. This season has all the makings of a disaster:

- Top player sold - hard working, determined, passionate, attacking.

- No replacement for the player sold.

- No replacement for the dross that left - regardless of how poor they were, they were squad depth. Last season we struggled enough with depth.

- A defence that STILL isn't decided or settled. Disaster for both the GK to trust his defence and for the defence to understand each other.

- The worst midfield in the PL - Lack of options, lack of defensive stability, lack of attacking support.

- 1 striker who had a 3 month patch of goals and struggles with many attacking aspects - 1v1, outside the box etc.

- A backup striker who is a laughing stock in football. Most clubs have several strikers to choose from. We have the worst attack in the PL.

- A board who continually get involved and make terrible decisions. No plans over the years to bring young, hungry, eager players into the PL, instead opting for "stars" which has led to a lack of available funds for new signings.

- On the back of this, we're no longer an attractive option. Players are choosing the other club when there's options.

TLDR: We're in massive trouble.

16 days until the first game of the season.

We still haven't replaced, with like for like or better quality of Sigurdsson, Digne, James and now Richarlison.

Basically our 4 most creative and attacking players over the past 2 seasons.
And we won't replace them unfortunately. Moshiri will once again doom this team

Can't and don't disagree with any of this. We don't score goals and struggle to keep them out which is a recipe for disaster.

We are relying, more so than last season, that there are three worse teams than us. As it stands, I really don't think there are.

Makes you sick reading that doesn't it, but it's all true.

I just can't see anything other than bottom of the league.

We are the worst team in the Premier and we all know it.

The summer was the chance for the board to do something about it. They haven't.

Relegation it is.

Scary this when you think about it. We were in the mess we were in last season due to the loss of Sigurdsson, Digne and James' goals and creativity. With Richy gone on top of this it's going to be much worse. We scored 43 goals last season and Richarlison was responsible for 15 of those so at this rate we're on to score 28 goals unless we do something in the market. We've 16 days to get a creative number 10 and a double figure winger at the very least to avoid a relegation battle.
