Here are the numbers on survival over the past 10 seasons: The lowest scoring team has been relegated all 10 years. The second lowest scoring team has been relegated 5 times out of 10. The 3rd lowest scoring team 6 out of 10. 11 goals in 14 games is in major danger territory.
Although did Burnley not go close to going down several times with a pretty fair goal difference.

Frank's side are deep in this mess , vital Newcastle help us today
What a strange way to say that, proper odd.

If you can’t acknowledge the progress under frank then I can’t help you. We were never gonna become Brazil 1970 overnight for gods sake, after the way the club has been run and the disaster of last season.

Goal scoring has been an issue for a long time for us, even under your chum tapastits. Lampard has tried to sort us out at the back, and in the main he’s done that well, unlike Benitez who left was completely tactically clueless. I think Frank and Thelwell will get the attacking and midfield right, if we give them a chance.

Villa winning, that's them currently going above us.
Problem is with villa, they’ve now a savvy manager, or a proper manager, assuming he’s learnt from his mistakes with the arse, would suggest to me they will comfortably be mid table. They also have money to spend, the manager will attract decent players.

We are in a group of about 5-6 now fighting in the relegation territory. Unless we find a regular scorer and / or creator, this is where we will stay for the remainder of the season. Without goals you don’t get points obvs.

Whilst I’m not saying, that’s it, we will get relegated! If you don’t score this will eat into players attitudes, and performances and will possibly become accepted that’s where we should be.

Why couldn’t villa have kept hold of slippy a while longer ffs.

I don’t think they will mate, I think we’ll see a couple of forwards in, either by loan or perm. Just my gut instinct
I’m not holding out much hope, remember we signed Maupay to play up front. We’re shopping in Lidl I’m afraid, anyone expecting a top class striker to turn up at GP for £20m is deluded.

The current bottom 5 are the worst 5 teams in the league. I think Wolves will get out of it now they have a decent manager. Hard to say yet. For me if we finish above Southampton then we stay up.

Unless we spend heavily in January we will definitely need external factors to help us.
Leicester are average without Madison. Same with Palace and Zaha.

We probably have to be hoping Spurs or Chelsea come sniffing for them in January.

Same with Brentford. Have to be hoping there are some legs in this match fixing investigation. If it has legs he can expect a lengthy ban which makes Brentford bang average without him.

Yea it’s a sad admission I’m looking at external factors but that’s where this team has left me after the last 18 months.

Hasenhuttl sacked today surely. Frustrating watching Newcastle - they havent even spent Arab level money yet, just the sort of money we spent post Moshiri, only they spent it on solid, reliable players and a good coach.

Rooney, Vlasic, Klaassen and Sigurdsson all signed in the same transfer window ha ha ha.
