Th sheer lack of ambition is incredible. The utter lack of horizon. There are 80 managers in at least four comparable leagues in Europe who we should have dossiers on - but it seems our contacts list is restricted to tried and trusted failures and old sentimental favourites. If it's Martinez or Moyes or their ilk, I have no stomach for removing the current failed incumbent.
It is pathetic how shortsighted they all are - the Benitez appointment demonstrated that, and kenwright will bring one of his old boys network in to replace frank if they sack him - I cba with the nonsense tired crap names they could come up with.

An unfit for purpose board will bring in an unfit for purpose manager, and their egos won’t leave the responsibility to thellwell as they should do, so the cycle continues.

West Ham have just dropped below us on GD.

There's an argument to be made there that Moyes has done a far worse job than Lampard so far this season..
I don’t know if they’ve had injuries or what but they should be at least midtable.

Fabianski doesn’t get in over Pickford and I don’t think any of their defenders displace ours except maybe Cresswell?

After that though wow. Rice and Soucek are a fantastic pair in midfield, would love that. Fornals, Paqueta, Cornet, Lanzini all in our squad at the least.

Then their forwards Scamacca, Benrahma, Antonio and especially Bowen are better than every one of ours easy.

It’s a very non-Moyes squad tbh, really top heavy.

Recalling a young player who is in no way ready for the premier league, and relying on loan deals to keep us up. This club is in absolute tatters. Time to face facts here all, Liverpool is about to become in essence a one club city. If we go down, we’re not coming back.

Two clubs near to each other in the same city. One is successful, wins and competes for trophies, regular high level European football , the other one does not.

More people, particularly so called journalists, should be highlighting why that’s the case.

I mean it’s glaring isn’t it. Two clubs, one city.

Anyone who think Leicester are too good to go down is kidding themselves, if we can they can, same with West Ham, Palace and Leeds.
Plenty of sides still in the mix

The same sort of thing was said about us last season.

The reality is, if you get on a spiral, its hard to turn around. I'm not saying they will go down, only that they could.

Is Ellis Simms linked with coming back?

We will be liberated from the curse of modern football.

Yeah, Leicester have Tielemans and Maddison who are good enough for any squad in the league but two players don’t make a team. I rate Barnes a lot and obviously their attackers, even an aged Vardy, are better than ours but I’m not taking any of their defenders or keeper over ours so similar to West Ham, they’ll concede more than they score which puts them in trouble!

Our biggest positive is all these teams concede more then us, it's the one hope we have

Ok we might get nothing today but Wolves shoukd lose to United, Fulham should beat Southampton, Newcastle should beat Leeds, not much damage should be done at the bottom
