Pretty sure Forest winning would do them good Dave.

Not if it's 3 of a very few amount of points they can get in remaining games. Take a look at who they have left.

For me the problem is they have no cutting edge. That doesn;t change no matter who takes charge.

We partially solved that with goals from m/f and defence. But a new manager wont turn Leicester as quick as Dyche turned us.

They are in a world of trouble and should have stuck with Rodgers who at least has experience in getting these players to win over 4 seasons.

Go 5 at the back and just give Maddison as free a role as possible. That's Leicester's best chance to get a few 1-0 wins.

I assume they'll want someone in for Bournemouth at home which is a critical must win for them.

It wont do either of them any good as the rest of their fixtures look hopeless for each of them.

I was just querying as it was "beat Spurs and we're looking good for safety" = 29 points. Forest beat Southampton and that alone is them on 30 points and who knows what they'll get before that fixture.

I think Forest are in big trouble aswell but it's a bit dangerous to completely write them off as they could go to Leeds and win, beat Southampton at home and then suddenly only needs one shock win and they're in 36-37 points range.

Looks like Cooper will be sacked if they don't get a win from their next two games so there might be some new manager bounce aswell.

I think a further twelve points will do it.

I write City off but the other four home games are well winnable.

Spurs, Fulham, Barcodes and Bournemouth.

And I think we get at least one win and a couple of draws in the remaing away game……United, Palace,Leicester, Wolves and Brighton.

Brighton the one I am least confident about.

I certainly didn’t feel this relaxed as we went into the last ten games last season.
That could be the worrying factor tho.
If you are honestly relaxed about the situation, maybe part of you has already accepted it.

Was unlucky with the header near the end but yes his control and passing is substandard. Rather have Simms. Sulemanna looks a headless chicken approaching the box.

Not a great result really but West Ham do have Newcastle, Fulham and Arsenal as their next three so I don't think they'll be pulling comfortably clear of the bottom 3 just yet.

Remember when the bedwetters were fumin at Thelwell for not chucking £40+ millions on Sulemana & Tall Paul ? lol lol

There will always be outlier and surprise results but moreso than not the result of football matches favours the better team. Thinking that Saints will have any possible chance of avoiding relegation is looking for the outlier or unexpected result every week. It is not going to happen. Saints will be playing Championship football next season

I try to work on 80% likelihood probabilities. Southampton are now well beyond that chance IMO. That is a bad defeat for them today.

11 Premier League managers sacked in less than one season, things go stale very quickly in football.

It just highlights to me what incredible managers Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger were. To be at one club for so long, and to consistently win over many seasons whilst rebuilding every few seasons is just remarkable. Stellar managers.

I think people were just desperate for signings so you take anyone but neither are that good from what I've seen of Southampton since January.

The board will really have got away with blue murder this season. No credit at all if team does stay up (Dyche could've easily been appointed in November).
