Difference between this season and last season is that I don’t watch every team around us and think they’re better than us. I fancy us against anyone at home and I know Dyche won’t be silly with our set up when we go away. Gonna have to actually scrape a 3 points away from home in the run-in tho.

I think the bottom 3 will be Southampton/Forest/Bournemouth.

I thought Norwich, Burnley and Watford were really bad last season. I don't see any teams like that this time around but I do think we look much better under Dyche.

My only worry is that this squad is capable of putting in a really bad spell of form. If that happens, I think we're down. There's just no room for 3 or 4 games without a win with it being so tight.

Just looked at Leicester's next manager odds and they are fanciful to say the least. Thomas Frank? Dreamland. Benitez seems the most realistic ...
Bookies aren’t stupid. They know a lot of people betting will be fans of the club and a lot of people bet on what they want to happen not what they think will happen. So putting Frank as favourite will actually make people bet on him even if it will never happen. Classic bookie mind trick.

I think a further twelve points will do it.

I write City off but the other four home games are well winnable.

Spurs, Fulham, Barcodes and Bournemouth.

And I think we get at least one win and a couple of draws in the remaing away game……United, Palace,Leicester, Wolves and Brighton.

Brighton the one I am least confident about.

I certainly didn’t feel this relaxed as we went into the last ten games last season.

Not sure why you're assuming we will win tomorrow. We are very much second favourites vs Spurs in spite of everything.
I don't assume we will win or that Southampton will lose today which is why I began the sentence with 'If' and not 'When'. But should Southampton lose and should we win I am prepared to assume that we will have a six point gap over them

I wrote Bournemouth off months ago but I've watched them at home few times and they actually look very solid, if they can keep billing tavernier solanke and Dango fit I actually think they have every chance of staying up which isn't ideal, hopefully we win tomorrow so I can focus my bedwetting on the ffp thread

I swear to god, every time other teams play and get some favourable points, I need a brown paper bag to stop the hyperventilating after reading this thread. Relegation or safety isn’t going to be assured one way or the other this weekend - there will continue to be many more twists and turns as the weekends unfold. The doom mongers just need to chill a little

I do understand. I didn't agree
no you didnt otherwsise you wouldnt have replied:

'I don't think they will get anything there anyway. Not too outrageous to suggest it' 'there' being the City game I assume

not the other 6 games left after the Arsenal game. if you said they wont pick up points elsewhere, it would have been clear.

I think Rodger's sacking will bring a much needed lift to Leicester. Their fans are all over the moon that he's been sacked, and they suddenly have some confidence about playing Villa, whereas they were all previously expecting defeat.

Yes. I originally said they will be adrift after them 2 games . Not hard to understand.

Pointless saying this kind of thing with how unpredictable it all is. Someone strings together 2-3 results and they shoot up to 12th
Ok sure…. Still to play City, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Brighton.

Yet Southampton are going to go on a run to get min 13/14 points to see them safe.

Basically have to win all 4 of their other games (Palace, Bournemouth, Fulham and Forest) and pick up a few points from the above games.

Southampton are gone…. Will say it again.

I think that is looking likely too. Bournemouth keep screwing it up by winning. With Forest looking like they are going to struggle to pick up many points, ou r last game against Bournemouth could be unbearable
