Or the last time around against Morocco? Mind numbing. A fetish.

To change that is some achievement. They have a superb cutting edge now to capitalise on their technical excellence.

This one has been really dull with no standout teams or players.

Yamal scored a great goal but was absolutely bang average apart from that. Just adding him for context. Rooney in 2004 was pure excitement every time he got the ball. This tournament was just meh.

Nah, Spain were superb and Yamal was marvelous.

But, yeah, very few other sides were better than mediocre, and we got no truly classic match that will be replayed in 30 years time.
