The big named nations are boring apart from Spain.

I hate the old cliche 'at this level' sorry but average PL Italian Spanish teams would give 90% of international teams a pasting.
I dont see international football as a level above club football, not a chance.

There's an idea to float by the Saudi's. Reckon they have enough cash to make man city vs Brazil happen?

The good
referee player discipline, only captains to speak to refs.
Spain can play some good football when they put their mind to it.
Fairly well behaved fans and fan zones.

The bad
phantom head injuries.
anti football risk nothing go nowhere games

This Spanish side are the most thrilling European champions in 40 years. They beat Italy, Germany, France, and England - playing brilliantly. Only the hosts truly rattled them - though France had a good 15-minutes in the first-half.

I think you'd have to go back to France in 1984 for the last such swashbuckling victory.

But there were very few outstanding sides, so that might play against how they will be remembered. But they might go on to win the World Cup now. I can't see too many contenders from this vantage point two years ahead...
