Referees and Everton 2022/2023

We have had some terrible decisions from refs all season and that carried on today. They definitely shouldn’t have had all 11 on the pitch at the end but…. the two dropped balls today were correct.

For the first one the ball was in the area so is dropped to the goalkeeper regardless of who has possession, the second one is outside the area so dropped to the team in possession or who touched it last when play was stopped. The ball is dropped where that final touch happened. (Law 8.2)

Wait - you mean all these people complaining that the ref got it wrong don't know the laws of the game and the ref actually got it right?

Overall I thought the ref had a good game, he did lose control a bit in the second half, but he was trying hard to just keep the game going and not stop it for every tackle. Unfortunately some players see that as an opportunity to go in even harder, resulting in some brutish tackles.

The linesman flagging our goal offside - he also wrongly flagged Zaha offside in the first half - that is a couple of obvious errors he made.

Also, I thought that the game needed to be stopped if a second ball was on the pitch?

He’s just telling players to boot it out the utter tit
Remember the other week when the man utd injured player was allowed to stay on the pitch, ridiculous rule I think but it is a ruling to go off?

On these occasions where you’re not sounding bitter because you won, the manager should highlight the poor decisions in this match.
