Reality bites....or......Moyes's revenge

If we DID finish 4th while Utd won the CL, we wouldn't get to PLAY a banana skin game like that, because we wouldn't be in the qualifiers.
Not necessarily. If United won this season's Champs League and we finished 4th, we could still possibly qualify for next season's Champs League, but only if United ALSO finish in the top 3 this season. I know that the OP was assuming they won't, but they could.

wouldn't matter not one jot

We are so much better now and would see off any modern day Valencia / banana skin PLUS Collina clone if they dug another bent reff out

Don't worry, be happy

But, Degsy.....we wouldn't be in the blooming bthing i=under the new rules.

This ain't 2005, as Spurs found out the year Chelsea won the CL.....:P

Not just united. If we finish top 4 someone currently in the CL finishes below us. Would rather the lot are out by march so it's not hanging over us!

Well Utd should win the league AND get to the semis in the CL with their players - but they won't because "bad luck davey" is in charge.

We on the other hand with Bobby Blue will win the title by the end of Feb.

I know it's very cool to slate moyes at every opportunity but surely you don't believe this statement??

Utd even with SAF have struggled in Europe these past few season due to the diminishing quality of there team. The league win last season was due to SAF and a top of his game RVP.

So if efc manage to finish 4th the last worry in the world is utd winning the CL to take it away!

I actually think they will expand the CL in the next few seasons.

There are too many high profile clubs in this league now. Where we used to have a 'big 4' that is quickly turning into a '6' or when the media finally realise we are actually a good side 7.

They want the likes of Liverpool in there due to the arm chair fan base in remote areas of the world and the likes of ourselves and Spurs have a large following abroad too. Manchester Cities investment really shook up the status quo. The current CL is a really stale format with dull atmospheres at the group stage games due to certain clubs cruising through year on year.

And Man U will not win the CL this season. Man City or Bayern for me.

"Manchester United have opened talks to sign Brazilian midfielder Everton Ribeiro, 24, from Cruzeiro for around £15m". Daily Mirror.

Is this what Moyes meant when he said that Everton would be sorry?!
