I dont think its that (well I hope its not). I honestly think its down to a spending structure. Elm's team will want to cash in on him, so whoever is going to spend £10mill on him he'll go there. Our "budget" for him will be around £6mill at a push so he'll be off somewhere else if they offer more.

Same thing happened with Naughton (and Moutinho last year), another team offered a better deal. We either spunk a load on 1 player, or we gamble and try and nick players for our price range.
