No mate, I understand all of that. However, the term itself does not mean Catholic per se. I'm not aware that anyone has been prosecuted solely for the use of that word?
doubt it. as i said it is its everyday use i am referring to not the origin of the word. anyone who doesnt think it refers to anyone who is catholic is kidding themselves.

So you know nothing apart from what is in the public domain? I see the treatment he gets in Scotland and actually applaud him for not yielding to the foul treatment he has been subject to simply because he was a Northern Ireland Catholic from Lurgan. He was getting death threats once he went up north to Celtic, in my view simply because he went to Celtic.
i was amazed he stuck it out there for so long. many would have folded at the abuse and the risks to his and his familys personal safety but he refused to give in to it. but of course he brought those death threats to his family from loyalist paramilitaries on himself by going to play football for Celtic...legend.

I'm not good at this? If the terms 'hun' and 'fenian' are non sectarian, which I agree with, what is your argument here? Is it that Celtic aren't too worried about being called fenians, but the The Rangers fans are upset at being called Huns? What's your point William? On a side note, can we keep politics away from this exchange? Thank you

The deeply offensive term Hun is used by Celtic and Hibs fans as a derogatory name against people they perceive to be Protestant. I find it deeply offensive.

Is that really difficult to understand?

Is this whopper still going on? The fella who thinks it's acceptable to attack Evertonians for songs sun against Gerrard but won't here a bad word said against him.

It's time for you to go back to your bigoted Rangers boards mate, and join in the Gerrard love fest, you're sort are not welcome here or at Everton Football Club and never will be. As the song says, we'd launch every one of you into the Mersey if we had the chance.
You need help, all that hatred and intolerance is eating away at your tortured soul.

I shall pray for your salvation.

"Knocked unconscious and soiled his kecks" like this is acceptable behaviour. Herein lies the voice of a man who still wants evidence that Gerrard is a lowlife. What I realise is, I could present you all sorts of evidence of his wrap sheet and it would be behaviour that was laudable in your bigoted, violent brain.

Stick to spaces with kopites whilst attacking opposing supporters mate. You'll be at home with them.
You are a complete moon howler.

Seek help immediately. Why are you always banging on about Liverpool.

This is a Rangers thread on an Everton forum. Go and lie down in a dark room.

I always found Rangers to be quite offensive, but the new Club at Ibrox is just Comedy Gold.

there is some serious misunderstanding here if people think that the term 'fenian' doesn't mean catholic in its everyday use. i doubt very much that when i was often called a 'fenian b*stard' in my youth in NI that that those who said this were referring to the 19th century movement even though that is the origin of the name.
Because it doesn't mean Catholic and it certainly doesn't mean Roman Catholic.

Why are RCs so obsessed by religion and victimhood.

Thanks for you input, strange that I've never encountered such hostility during my visits to Goodison.
Do you normally wear a Rangers shirt, wrap yourself in a Union Jack and sing 'Rangers songs"when you visit Goodison?

People probably would not have noticed otherwise

I tell you what, why don't you go into Google, do your research and find out exactly what a scrote Gerrard is and why pretty much any Evertonian (and decent human being hates him)?

I'm not talking about me, I'm talking about songs sung by Evertonians. What does it say about Evertonians in your thick little head? Do you have a problem with Evertonians singing about Steven Gerrard?

You are becoming increasingly abusive kid, do you suffer from little man syndrome.

I bet you're frothing at the nostrils battering away at that keyboard.

Calm down son.

Would you be offended by the Union Flag?
I did wear my Rangers top actually, I gave it to an Everton fan who I met when I was there, I was with a few Everton lads and they introduced me to several of their mates, all decent lads.

Any more questions kid?
