RANGERS

You’re not getting it. No agenda against Celtic here. I’ve said rangers are as bad, and I know what that lot sing about too. You’ve taken offence because I’ve described BOTH clubs as bad as each other. You’re making out everyone has it in for you and you’re mainly innocent. Maybe if you stopped singing pro IRA songs that get out on social media and YouTube then you wouldn’t have idiots from this country wanting a pop. Maybe if the idiots from England realised why the catholic’s were so angry, they would think about having a pop. Honestly no agenda from me here, just saying both clubs have a big following of idiots.

But both sets of supporters aren't as bad as each other. That's the point.

If you can come up with anything even remotely close as Manchester 2008, I'll concede you have a point, but until then I'll keep saying both sets of supporters aren't the same.

They sing pro IRA and anti English songs and wonder why we hate them. Not rocket science is it.
I don’t hate them. I dislike them, the same as I dislike the Rangers idiots. I know fans of other clubs, Villa, Leeds just to name a couple that go to rangers games because it’s a badge of honour to be a part of the loyalist brigade. I also know some brain dead Celtic fans who spout their hatred. Idiots everywhere, but they both have more than most.

Everton are a fine club. It’s an honour to dine at your table.

As a forum, we do take pride that we seem to attract and retain a wide number of other clubs supporters as regular posters.

Like any fan base, we get involved in the details of contracts and signings and all that stuff in the main Everton forum, so a trip to see what our guests from further afield are talking about is usually a nice diversion from the current woe that is Everton.

I didn't say I wonder why you hate it, but when English ICF type thugs come up to Scotland to attack Celtic fans, then it's a tad harsh say Celtic fans are the trouble makers.

I don't actually mean you personally said that btw.

I’d wager if 250.000 Celtic fans descended on Manchester there would be repeat scenes. Maybe that would be the English fault though, and Celtic would be the victims?

lol

That didn't happen mate.

For a guy who claims not to have any affiliation with Rangers, you do a good job of impersonating one.

This will make you laugh. Growing up I had the away rangers shirt. The white McEwans lager one from the McCoist Hately years. I also had the home Celtic shirt lol Used to love watching old firm games. Always preferred Rangers for some reason, but I’d always ask my grandad who he wanted to win. Celtic of course son, I’m a catholic. In the 94 World Cup , I was still a wee lad, and I had the Republic of Ireland shirt. Villa had a few Irish players in the team and I was rooting for Ireland all the way. I’ll also be honest and say once I got into my late teens, I was pro Loyalist and Queen and country. Then I stopped being an idiot, and stopped being ignorant. Honestly mate, no agenda from me. Just saying how I see it. Have a good night and up The Dons .

I have no affinity with Rangers due to their allegiance with the Chelsea racists but Celtic's disrespect of rememberance day, hatred of the English, love of the IRA and love of Hamas puts them on a different level.

I have never seen that at Celtic Park. I cant say for certain it has never happened, but I've never seen it.

Are you sure you're not getting mixed up with the Celtic fans support of the Palestinian people, and dismay at the way they're been treated?

As for this hatred of the English. Do you mean any actual English people are treated badly, or do you mean their songs about the way Irish people have been treated in their own country, part of which is still under UK rule?

I'm confident if Everton came up to play at Celtic Park, there wouldn't be any trouble. Leeds, Birmingham, Leicester etc, not so much.

Don't pretend Celtic fans don't hate the English it is disingenuous.

It's not exactly a stretch to say Celtic's 'support' for Palestine and support for Hamas are tantamount to the same thing given your love of the IRA and how you try and draw parallels between the two situations.

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to work out why I may have dislike for Celtic given my nationality, religion and my family's long association with the UK military.

I have all the demographics to be top of your hate list.

If I were a better man I should probably take the moral high ground but I'm not, so I won't.

I don't know any Celtic fans who dislikes English people, not one that I'm aware of. I'm not saying there aren't any, but I definitely don't know one. Have you ever met a Celtic fan who hates English people? I haven't, and I'm betting I know a lot more than you. Are you sure you're not mixing up sporting rivalry, and Scottish people wanting England to lose at sport with a hatred of English people.

As for you being on my hate list, why would I dislike you in the slightest? To the best of my knowledge I've never met you. It looks to me like you have a stereotypical view on how Celtic supporters are, and you're applying that to me, even though you don't know me. Don't get me wrong, with this latest post, you don't come across as someone I would want to spend a lot of time with, but it has nothing do with what country you're from, or your ethnicity.

Celtic relate to the struggles of the Palestinian people and the oppression they suffer to the struggles the catholics suffered from the British. No doubt some will be doing it to inflame situations, but they use the flags as a statement.

Unless they do it against an Israeli team, like they did against Hapoel Beer Sheva, I don't see what situation flying a Palestine flag could possibly inflame.

My own personal view is, I don't like to see injustice, or people being treated badly, anywhere. I wouldn't hold an English guy, an Israeli, or German etc responsible for the acts of their governments, and I wouldn't dream of treating them any differently from people who live in any other country.
