It has made laugh that some have tried to use the fact he was frequently rated bottom on the BBC Ratings app during the World Cup as proof that society itself in this country is determined to pick on him.

Not because he was diabolical all tournament, totally and utterly crap in every game? He's picked up his form now for club and country so fair play but seriously, trying to paint people who simply don't want lick his arse as racists?

I agree with him for the stand he's making, the Daily Mail is a scumbag tabloid with deeply racist and bigoted people at the top but don't get silly now. Calling a player crap should be acceptable regardless of their race, football should never and will never be a Utopian paradise where everyone watching justs and watches politely whilst expressing no real emotion.

Medically I genuinely struggle with my memory so apologies in advance if I'm Wrong but To be controversial I don’t think he was consistently the worst. im sure I remember thinking on occasion he wasn’t getting the credit he deserved. I’m not saying he was stand out but at least one game I'm
Sure he did ok and was still rated as the worst , the reasons for that may be more complicated obviously.

Of all the cases of alleged racial abuse in football in recent seasons, there is only one where the person alleging he was racially abused was not believed automatically by the media and a frenzy kicked up to out the alleged perpetrator and make him prove his innocence.

In fact, it was barely mentioned outwith the peramators of GOT.

Mason Holgate.

He does have a point, I've never heard any Black person or Asian person refer to themselves as a person of colour. The whole reason people stopped using the term coloured was because Black and Asian people didn't like people told they were all the same. I wouldn't use either coloured of person of colour to anybody. They are both the same really, I don't know why people treat them differently. It's bizarre, the same nonsense the used to be repeated by the far right is being used by people who are supposedly left wing/liberals.
POC is mainly an American term. It's caught on with British social justice bloggers but I don't often hear it in real life.

Barnes defended Suarez, saying: "As much as we will say ignorance is no excuse, ignorance is an excuse."
He said that "cultural differences have to be taken into consideration".

Speaking on BBC Radio Merseyside : "From a cultural point of view, [Suarez] has been backed by people from Uruguay saying the word he used is not deemed as a racist term."
He continued: "As much as we will say that ignorance is no excuse, ignorance is an excuse."

Barnes, who received 79 England caps, continued: "When Manchester United play Liverpool and 10,000 United fans are saying 'you Scouse thieves', I'd like them all to be banned."
"And Liverpool fans too, when they say 'you Manc or whatever'. So where are we going to draw the line? Racism has to be zero tolerance but this is now a witch hunt."

Wheeled out as a rent-a-quote Uncle Tom to betray his race and keep his place in the ranks of the cult.

Despicable behaviour.

As much as I agree with what he said yesterday, that tribalism he showed towards the cult damages him greatly.

I was at a RS game shortly after the suarez, may have even been the game after. It was against Oldham and to say the suarez incident encouraged racism is an understatement, it was rabid, with a young black lad trying to leave the pitch in tears

I know football in England and Europe, is a sport watched, played and followed by mostly the working class, who tend to be uneducated, but why is football so backwards in England/Europe? Things like racism, misogyny, homophobia, antisemitism is rife.....all are things which is non-existent in other sports.
What world do you live in.
