And he's right.

Go through this thread - before a ball was kicked the same people on here wanted Benitez out, there was one person who flat out said he doesn't want Everton to win at all while Benitez is in charge. It is what it is. He's not lying about any of it.
Go through this thread - there are 1000s of posts pointing out why his tactics, footballing philosophy, use of players, use of substitution's and style of play, make him unsuitable to be manager of Everton football club. None of those posts contain any mention of his previous connections to other clubs, yet that is all you have, people who didn't want him here are the ones who want him sacked. The vast majority of supporters were willing to give him a chance now the vast majority of supporters want him gone, that's along way from only those who didn't want him here now want him gone

Can't keep up with him.

He said we have money. Then said we dont have money. Now we have money again.

We have very little money, essentially what James's wages would have been. If we can shift on a few others, the pit will be bigger. From what I understand Moshiri understands the team is deficient and is willing to spend some money, but it will come at a cost in the summer where we will probably have to sell one of our bigger players.

Everton's position as a club is parlous. Get rid of Benitez and the next manager WILL fail. There is nothing in the cupboard, it's bare. The only way forward is to get a big name out the door and hope we buy astutely with it.

We need to stick with this manager and get the horrific run out the way. It's high time Moshiri stood firm against any clamour to get shut of a manager he isnisted we get. Maybe...MAYBE...that time is now.
Dave stop it.

That’s talking sense. You won’t be popular.

Wasn't Benitez very far down our list? We were linked with every man and his dog before he arrived.

I don't ever think our list was nearly as extensive as the papers made out.

For one, given FFP, we were only ever gonna be after managers that at the time were out of a job and from that list depressingly Benitez probably was one of the best options.

Agree with @GrandOldTeam though, I think he's here to see us through some low spend windows.

Why? He's bought 3 layers with £1.7M and two of the three have been fine.

You're not making sense there.

There is no evidence of Benitez being able to rebuild a squad. There is no evidence of Benitez favouring young players over experience and that is the only solution for a team who need a rebuild and to be sensible with money. You cannot sign players like Rondon when the squad is full of older players on high wages who don't contribute. You just make it even harder to carry out a rebuild.

We have no option but to sign hungry young players for low fees before they are established names. Then you can sell for a profit or have a very good player for many years. Experience has got this club nowhere either on the pitch or for managers. We need a complete change of mentality.

As for the DOF, I don't need to go over that again. I have zero faith that he could reinvest money properly.

The only regular first team player missing now is Lewin so can't really use the 'injury crisis' anymore.

And Mina.

It doesn’t sound a lot but take Van Dijk and Salah out of Liverpool.

Evans and Vardy out of Leicester

Dias and Jesus out of City

Gabriel and Aubemayang out of Arsenal

Romero and Kane from Spurs

Ogbonna and Antonio from West Ham

Konsa and Watkins from Villa.

Yes teams can still play and might adapt but they’re not as good. Any team will suffer if you take their best centreback and best goal scorer out the team. Add in their best midfielder (Doucoure just back) and it has an impact, that’s undeniable.

The impact on teams with poor squads like ours is especially big. The players coming in place are Michael Keane/ Holgate and Rondon. Huge step downs.

Injuries are all part of the game though mate, it's like saying we can't judge Benitez because Lewin and Mina are out.

Says it all doesn't it? Thousands of posts after thirteen league games. Thirteen. From the very start.

You are all laughable to be honest. Deserve to be treated with disdain.
