I have nothing against peaceful protests be it wokeys or those considered far right. That is the basis of a democracy.

Looting, destroying peoples businesses/livelihoods and attacking police officers who are just doing their job is what needs to be eradicated from our society.

Fair play to St Helens in that regard.

Nothing, absolutely nothing

Not necessarily. For a start, whilst there is a minority of absolute weapons involved in this there are far more people who are willing to turn up against it - and nothing these people are doing is going to make more people back the cause. The "save our children" argument is clearly nonsense, these people are more likely to touch up kids than they are save them (which is probably why there is so much aggression at cops).

What Starmer has to do now is deal with the encouragement and organization of them - that means social media firms being cracked down on, it means the likes of GB News being cracked down on (Ofcom should finally grow a pair and deal with them properly), and most of all it means identifying where the money that is funding all of this is coming from and stopping it.

Maybe. Though I agree entirely numbers wise it's power, influence and finance that will dictate the outcome.
None of this has turned up out of the blue, it's been a long time coming and warned about for many years.
These events aren't reactionary, they're well planned and orchestrated and just looking for a spark of an excuse to begin with, the fact that it has abused and overshadowed the tragedy in Southport is incidental, collateral, in their minds.
There is, as someone else has mooted, a wider context. Migration due to failing crops, drought, warfare etc will increase emphatically over the next decade as the false industrialisation of poor countries and the pillage of their resources will leave their populations with little hope or option but to go west.
The political chessgame grows darker and deeper and these pawns, just like the cannon fodder of the World Wars, are being pushed to the front, bothsides I may add.
The economics is self explanatory.
