To be clear that attack on the white lad in the pub in Birmingham looked awful and everyone would condemn what we’ve seen . I feel it’s interesting that as well as condemning the attack & attackers the landlady has barred the ‘victim ‘ saying he goaded them as they passed and used racist language towards them .

Not that it justifies anything but perhaps not the innocent pub drinker he’s been painted .IMG_2567.webp

I work remotely, and one of my colleagues lives in Birmingham (couldn't tell you specifically where). He's a black chap, born in this country to Kenyan parents.

His usual daily routine once he's logged off for the day is to go on a walk to stretch his legs and get some fresh air.

He hasn't left his home for a week or so because of all of this nonsense. I can't imagine being in a position where you fear for your safety to the point where you don't want to set foot outside your front door, just because of the pigment level in your skin.

Hodges is a clown who was and is mates with the people who stirred this pot for so long. Let’s not forget his article the weekend after Jo Cox was murdered too, where he said “Labour must kill vampire Jezza”.
I agree, but it's interesting that even he isn't prepared to go as low as some others

My missus told me one of her work colleagues that wears a hijab has been too afraid to wear it in public the last week and has taken it off!!

Far right Telegram channels shut down.

Fair enough. But where does this lead to?

Left wing content being shut down 'for balance'?

Blair wanted ID Cards and the neo-Blairites around Starmer are going to push again to crack down on freedom to assemble and freedom to communicate.

We have to be vigilant. Starmer is a law and order man ultimately. If he has an ideology, that's it: control. His thinking as a lawyer and DPP was always to never trust the public and to hand out powers to the coppers and judiciary and back them up to the hilt. That'll be his stamp as PM.

We're on a very slippery slope with him, and there's hardly any dissenting voices in the LP anymore...unlike when Blair tried it on with ID implementation.

You're veering to the right David!

Don't see it like that. It's a law and order and safety stand point.

I could be wrong but I don't think any historically planned left wing protests have involved shop, offices, and hotels being boarded and cordoned off and people forced to stay at home due to threat of violence.

If they did...shut that down too.

Whatever political side you're on...if you're on a platform planning to smash something up or threaten peoples lives based on ideological views it needs closing, banning, and put in line IMO.
