Questions from Newcastle

1) Everton are notoriously slow starters, but this season seems (seemed? - West Brom) to be different. Why so, and do you think you can keep it up?

Settled summer. We almost always lose a major piece of the squad (late in the window) and don't bring in good replacements. This summer we lost nobody major (Rodwell wasn't a regular in the first 11) and got in some new players (although the squad is technically smaller the starting 11 is better). Morale and confidence boosted we can hopefully start better (although need 10 games to have a fair opinion of our start -- two good wins to start means nothing is you lose winnable games like last week).

2) Which of your new signings are you most looking forward to seeing this season?

Mirallas. He's good at footballs and quite dashing to boot.

3) What league position do you expect Everton to finish in this season?

Fourth. This year is our year!

4) Who are your best 3 players?

Fellaini, Baines and X. X varies game to game.

5) Who is your worst player (usually in the starting XI - who we could exploit)?

Neville I guess. Everyone has said Neville. I don't think he's that bad -- slow but makes up for it somewhat with positioning. I've seen a lot more exploitable players on our team over the years than Neville.

6) Many Newcastle fans would agree that RB and CB are the positions we need strengthening the most. What are Everton's weak positions?

Chairman. RB as well although Hibbo is underrated. Solid defensively just doesn't offer as much going forward as Baines (also, for other FBs who don't offer as much going forward as Baines see: almost every other FB in football).

7) Newcastle will have to use all the talent in our youth/reserve squads this season. Who are some players to look out for in the future from Everton?

George Green -- if he keeps his head down and works hard -- could be fantastic.

8) Which Everton player will cause Newcastle the most problems on Monday night?

How tall/good are your CBs? If answer not "very" then Fellaini. Safe money would be on Baines and Pienaar raping your backup RB. Possibly literally.

9) If you could add one current Newcastle player to your team, who would it be and why?

Don't know enough about your club to have an educated opinion.

10) Pardew has a touchline suspension, our captain and RB are out injured, and there is a doubt over Krul in goal. Anything gone wrong for you in the build up that we can cling on to (injuries)?

Gibson is injured and he allows us to play possibly our best formation. But we've found success in new formations from injuries in the past so you never know. Nobody wants to admit it (aside from this bloke: http://bit.ly/Ohp0M5) but you could make a very good case that we lost our last game because Moyes went for the win at 0-0 and we lost our shape. Fans tend to moan about defensive subs which secure a point (or sometimes go wrong) but ignore when an attacking sub is just the wrong move (because "attacking yay!"). That said it all depends how you lot line-up -- if you pack the midfield and put 10 behind the ball we are not good at breaking that down. You could argue that we need more practice trying and should attack anyway but it's not our best game. If you come at us a little bit and play somewhat open then you should see a great game.

11) Finally, score prediction ...

... s are pointless. But I do think we'll win.

They're all posted. Different thread ;) Your board wont let me post a link because I "don't have over 20 posts"

1) Everton are notoriously slow starters, but this season seems (seemed? - West Brom) to be different. Why so, and do you think you can keep it up? Good summer window and a solid pre-season, few players have said that a change to our pre season routine (back early, holidays mid way through) have helped.

2) Which of your new signings are you most looking forward to seeing this season? Mirallas, could be the pace we've been screaming for

3) What league position do you expect Everton to finish in this season? top 8 definitely, toss up between us, your lot, the red****e and spurs as to what order outside the top four we finish.

4) Who are your best 3 players? Baines, Fellaini Jelavic

5) Who is your worst player (usually in the starting XI - who we could exploit)? With Gibson out our center may be weakened if Moyes doesn't drop Fellaini back, I pray he doesn't play Neville there.

6) Many Newcastle fans would agree that RB and CB are the positions we need strengthening the most. What are Everton's weak positions? RB and RM although Mirallas could be our answer to our RM/RW problem.

7) Newcastle will have to use all the talent in our youth/reserve squads this season. Who are some players to look out for in the future from Everton? Obviously Barkley, but there's a few others like Duffy, a CB and Hallam Hope who tears it up in the under 18's/reserve level.

8) Which Everton player will cause Newcastle the most problems on Monday night? Pienaar coupled with Baines

9) If you could add one current Newcastle player to your team, who would it be and why? Cissie, him and Jelavic would be, in my eyes, the best strike force in the Prem if they ever played together.

10) Pardew has a touchline suspension, our captain and RB are out injured, and there is a doubt over Krul in goal. Anything gone wrong for you in the build up that we can cling on to (injuries)? Gibson, could be a big loss aswel, lost our rhythm against WBA when he went off.

11) Finally, score prediction? 2-0 Everton, Jelavic and Baines.

Hey, I'm from the Newcastle forum (nufc-forum.com) and have a few questions for you all, if that's ok. Answers will be put up on our forum once received.

Thanks!

1) Everton are notoriously slow starters, but this season seems (seemed? - West Brom) to be different. Why so, and do you think you can keep it up? We've not traveled anywhere this preseason (Scotland excluded) I think that has something to do with it, as well as the good transfer window

2) Which of your new signings are you most looking forward to seeing this season? Mirellas & Naismith for me, both seem decent.

3) What league position do you expect Everton to finish in this season? I can see us getting 4th or 5th this year

4) Who are your best 3 players? Baines, Fellaini, Piennar

5) Who is your worst player (usually in the starting XI - who we could exploit)? Neville, if he plays CM. he's much better at RB

6) Many Newcastle fans would agree that RB and CB are the positions we need strengthening the most. What are Everton's weak positions? We've looked pretty solid, with the wrong players starting CM is weak - when we start with the right players we're one of the best.

7) Newcastle will have to use all the talent in our youth/reserve squads this season. Who are some players to look out for in the future from Everton? Barkley seems like he's going to make it, Shane Duffy also

8) Which Everton player will cause Newcastle the most problems on Monday night?Fellaini, and Jelavic

9) If you could add one current Newcastle player to your team, who would it be and why? Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa

10) Pardew has a touchline suspension, our captain and RB are out injured, and there is a doubt over Krul in goal. Anything gone wrong for you in the build up that we can cling on to (injuries)? :D Gibson will probably be out - we will miss him, he is very important to us.

11) Finally, score prediction? 3-1 to us.

Additional question at the request of another user: Do you have any funny/witty chants or songs going at the moment? Any favourites?

That's how I see it, anyway
