I have just participated in your poll and voted to stay at Goodison and lose Moyes.
My reasoning behind this is very simple. I do not want to lose Moyes but neither do I want to go to Kirkby. We have been deceived about Kirkby and the alleged "Deal of the century". This deal is now going to cost EFC at least £78m and possibly more.
My suggestion is that Moyes would like money to spend in the transfer market whereas BK and KW are thinking more about the proposed move. Hence no signed contract.

It wouldn't come down to that but if it was a choice stay at Goodison and loose Moyes for me. Moyes is excellent but no one is bigger than the club. Not the players, not the manager and not the chairman.

This decision is the biggest in our history and the likes of Moyes, Kenwright and the current players won't be here forever whereas the fans will. I don't agree with the move to Kirkby so I'm completely against it.

Fair play lads yous are the first to come out and put your neck on the line, regardless if i agree i disagree, i respect that!

Agreed TB - Kirkby would be much longer-term pain. In surgical terms, like choosing between a heart transplant or the batteries changed on your pace-maker. (Like the premise of the 'poll', not a realistic scenario?)

Moyes, if you're reading this, I don't want you to go! I was given Hobson's Choice; that Neilr held a gun to my head and threatened to shoot; I had to make a decision - please understand:).

I think the best thing is it would never come down to this. I'm a big fan of Moyes and whether we move to Kirkby or stay at Goodison he won't mind.

He's more worried about finance and money he can spend of players. Even if we move to Kirkby he won't be able to compete. An extra 5-10 million doesn't mean alot in modern day football.

Kirkby won't move us up and level. We'll still be competing for 4th to 10th which is what where aiming for now at Goodison Park.

The only way where going to be able to competete on the pitch with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man utd is if where took over by someone with a pot to piss in. It doesn't have to be a billionaire just someone who has a bit more money than Kenwright.

I'm not a Kenwright hater but he has moved us as far as he can take us. He can't afford to keep giving us 20-25 million a year. There'll be seasons where we'll have to keep it tighter and spend less.

Might be intresting to do a simple for / against vote! But i genuinely beleive the stadium debate in a variable in terms of Moyes commiting his long term future, to say its not is as much conjecture as anything i have pointed out!

In fairness mate, thats as much conjecture as anything i wrote truth is no one really knows! Its all opinons blah blah blah!

Stupid question, the reason Moyes isnt signing a contract isnt because of the kirkby contract. My answer

Wait to move elsewhere and keep Moyes.

Sorry, stupid was the wrong word - Silly should be the word.

A manager not signing a new contract because of the new stadium not going through? it just sounds abit silly. Moyes would know that if the stadium didnt go through it would be because the fans dont want it too, and he wouldnt force teh kirkby stadium through against the fans opinion. He hasnt signed a new contract because money most likely, but he has been seen in countries scouting for players, came back to liverpool to talk to some, so id say its pretty safe Moyes staying.

I know its a bit of a hypothethical question, and hope it wouldnt happen! I beleive though that the decison on the stadium, the impact on the club, and in many ways the direction of the club in the future is one of the consderations in whyMoyes hasnt signed a new contract. How could it not be?

Moyes being the anayltical and maticulous planner that he is would not commit five years of his life and career unless depending on his opinion:

A) he was in favour of the move and beleives it will offer him larger funds, that, that move was secured before putting pen to paper.

or

B) He beleives the deal is crap, and it will suck up any of the transfer money he already has.

My point really was not to get into a boring new debate on the rights or wrongs of the stadium move, but to make the point which i feel has not been raised enough, is that i beleive that is a one of many considerations for him as it will either for the positive or the negative radicly alter the fourtunes of the club, how could that not be a consideration for him in signing a new contract?

the question is based on a false premise. i don't know what moyes thinks of the whole stadium move issue, but i've not seen anything that makes me believe he is definitely in favour, or indeed definitely against, the kirkby proposal. i'd have thought his prime concern would be the ability of the club to support his squad development plans. however, if your assumptions are correct, i would rather lose moyes than go to kirkby, based on the current plans.

If any manager gave a ultimatum like that even if it was some where I agreed ID want him sacked,he is there to manage the players and advise on buying and selling of players the choice of ground should be the owners (sadly)

the question is lose moyes, or go or kirkby.

it's a bit like do you want to be shot or stabbed to death? erm... i'll pass on that question then.

and as another poster said in this thread, it seems like very thinly veiled pro kirkby spin.
