I've always understood our club as one of the best takeover targets really, if one considers that a takeover of a club is basically the purchase of a brand, a tradition and a position. We have formidable assets there, i mean, if you consider that the fact City got taken over and invested in because they are a perfect counterweight to the current greats in Man U, and thereby opening up a big market. Now that the RS are bought and all, a perfect counterweight would be us, methinks. In terms of business and all. Not even mentioning a strong squad and manager, a solid economy which really could get a huge boost if we can expand stadium revenue - which is exactly something a takeover will do.

Buy Kenwrong out and rebuild Goodison! In the sky! In the shape of Mofro's hairdo! Surely the quataris can afford it. And if our new striker comes from the Quatari sunday league and is named muhammed al-hilal el qureshi, i won't mind at all, he'll still perform better than Saha!

Financially we're in decent shape, Kenwright has kept the debt manageable. However no one in their right mind will invest in our club because we need a stadium and we don't even have a plan for a stadium. A 250M planned stadium could easily run into the 400-500M range due to cost overruns. Our club is probably only worth say 130M at best (Villa with a good stadium and little debt only cost the Lerners 120M so it might be even worth alot less than that). Who's going to pay for a stadium who's price tag 2-3X what the club is worth?

I don't think 130M is close to what Everton is worth either. That would be the ceiling. In other words 130M is what a dodgy forgien owner who's desperately looking for a way to launder money would pay.

I heard they're planning a new stadium that looks like a boat to be built in the middle of the mersey that you have to take water taxi to get to.

the lower tier and pitch can be floated around the coast for anyone that may need it between games, Marine have shown interest and also Bangor City & Rhyl, although the 'sons of glendower' and Keep 'Rhyl FC in the shithole we call home' are said to be mounting protest campaigns.
