I can't help but feel a little hurt by this (nowhere near as much as Timmy going), he was our best player last season, he came out and expressed his love for the club and the fans on numerous occasions.

I know he doesn't owe anything to us, but I think it's the fact he's going to f*cking Turkey. He's leaving a good Premier League team to go to Turkey. Where's the ambition there? I suppose he may be in the Champions League.

Sheeds, do you know if this keenness to sell has anything to do with trying to align the wage bill with the fair play rules (I'm guessing due to the inability to increase turnover whilst Goodison is our home and no new stadium on the way?) Timmy and Johnny must be near the top of the high earners.

I'm like every other fan and want to see us keep our best players etc... but I am also a realist and know from my work life that difficult decisions have to be made sometimes to keep afloat. You only have to look at Portsmouth to see that one player on too big a wage can put a whole club in jeopardy.
