4.5 not that bad when he considering he only got 12 months left

Then they should have sold him 12 months ago to insure we got a greater transfer fee

We are on the bones of are arse and to allow him to get to his last year of his contract is a massive cock up

Like I said before, pretty sure his contract runs until 2014. So, if he's going, we shouldn't be making a £1 mil loss for a player who was our best CB last season. Him and Jags looked decent together, and just cos he had a poor euro's in the middle of a poor Holland defence, people are happy to sell for peanuts. Their's no way we can get a centre back who's at Johnnys standard for less than £5 mil in this market.

I'm pretty confident Johnny doesn't want to go to turkey , I think everton thought he did and we appear to have mishandled the whole situation perhaps at the expense of the Yobo deal . Chaotic frankly

I hope this is true, but I hope it hasn't damaged the clubs relationship with him.

But if he goes, its better than a Baines/Felli leaving. I'd be happy with £7 mil, but from what Sheedy has said Heit's isn't pushing for a move -- that will be our board - the cretins. Then again, others (fox etc) claim its a done deal, we'll just have to wait and see. I just don't think we should be selling our better players when the money won't be used to improve on a decent squad. I can understand Cahill going, and who knows, that low fee may open up a move for Donovan in January.

How could those clowns have got crossed wires on that? I doubt they did, actually. This lot have got the axe out and are determined to send someone down the road now that Baines is staying. I'd say the club sees this transfer window as a continuation of others where they downsize but sell it to the gullible as 'getting players out to get players in'.

Only Everton could manage to cock up a deal thats been close to happening all summer because they thought another player wanted to leave, and Blue Bill was already counting the pennies.
