Probably something in this. Moyes has to shoehorn Jagielka into the side somehow. And Heitinga-Jagielka seems a big no no for some reason

Can we not go and build on a decent squad rather than go and dismantle it , plenty of hoofball on show at Goodison next season if the majority of it see's us using Jags/Distin as our centre half pairing .

agreed, rusty balls would like nothing better than to find a reason for jags to be a automatic starter again, we reject 12 for jags then sell a better player for less, the other 3 are all decent CH's, but Jonny is the only one of the 3 who actually improves our overall pattern of play, after Felli and jelli the hes the one I dont want to leave.

Now I'm not saying Jags, Duffy and Distin are bad defenders. Not a all. They are excellent last ditch defenders.

However, anyone can see Heitinga brings something different and classy to the back.

Jelavic better get even more used to chasing if this happens.

Exactly. While I'm no fan of Moyes, he has to play by the framework setup by the club. And while the framework is ****, there is no way around it. If Heitinga and Cahill go I'm sure replacements have been lined up.

Cahill has lost his value to the team and his wages will go towards Pienaar. Heitinga has just had the worst Euros possible and if Inter come knocking with £10 m. I would not blame Moyes, the club or Heitinga for making that deal. I rate Duffy and for £10 m. you could get a good replacement and money to spare.
