Pure Rumour - Heitinga to Inter £10m

I'm trying to leave a few bits out but we've created the situation ourselves mate, I'm not here to smash the board but the Yobo deal should have been done and we thought we could sell both to them (which Is what Bluefox's posts last night relate to ) but they only want one and we've been out manoeuvred . We've effectively been ' hoisted by our own petard ' , it's a best a mess and doesn't reflect particularly well on us or the Turks although from a purely business type way 'they've had us over ' like us and other clubs have done to rangers over players.

I'm not here to hammer the board but what I've posted is what's happening

Fair play Sheeds, I just can't believe as a club we had the audacity to go, well you've been so good with us over Yobo why not take our best centre back for cheap while you're here? Its like in Smiths when you go to buy a paper and they try and flog you a pack of haribo after standing in the queue for half hour.

Sheedy,I have followed your information on Kipper for a number of years and imo you are one of the very few itk around. As you point out yourself some things you know about because of your contact, others you don't.

Ultimately I think the Yobo deal will get done.No matter what deal the Turks offer Heitinga I am not sure that a player at the height of his game will want to play in the Turkish league. He is already earning a fortune and will want to continue playing in a major league.

That's totally fair , suffice to say this debacle is one I'm 'very well informed on' . The Heitinga point you make is 100% right and what I was told originally yesterday however the new offer to him personally may change his mind, whatever happens its not worked well . those talking about selling Yobo here there or wherever he's on (I believe ) £55k a week he's 32 with 2 years left who will pay a £2m fee for him in those circumstances ?

I'm off out now but I think there may be more news later so if I'm able I'll post

dont want to go off topic, but never ever rated him as highly as others, even in his peak run of form he made clumsy mistakes, if the turks were offering 4.5 for him the club would dismiss it out of hand, but its quite clear they'd like rid of Jonny, who did as much to turn our season around as anyone

Fair enough, I think it's because he's English the club would reject any bid below £10 mill for him. Back on topic though it is an absolute joke it we do sell Heitinga for £4.5 mill, ridiculous.

who thought it would be a good idea to sell another player to a club that has messed us around for 2 years over yobo.absolute madness.

Couldnt agree more. At some point you simply say, these guys aren't acting in good faith. When you reach that point, you don't double down on the relationship, you quit it. We don't really know what is going on, but simply the fact that we are still coming back to the table and heitinga is in the fray tells me that our board is to blame, even if the Turks share blame.

Hopes this all works out and soon.

Heitinga is Moyes' "big European signing", hes always wanted to shoehorn him into the team be it at CM or CB I doubt he would be willing to sell unless someone comes in with silly money. Unless of course the lack of Baiesn sale forces his hand but don't forget Everton don't have to sell anyone they dont want or hasn't asked to leave
